Thump "OW!" I yell when my head bumps on the window for the 100th time this flight.

"Goodmorning passangers!" says the pilot "We will be arriving in Paris in about ten minutes. Please gather your trash, the attendants will be walking down the isles momentarily."

Sighing, I reach down and grab my bag from under my seat and set it in my lap. Pulling up the window cover, I glance at the sight below.

The sunlight barely coming up from the horizon, casts a rainbow of reds, purples and yellows on the fluffy clouds. You can't look at the sun directly, but the clouds only set a small picture of its magnificance.  Wow. I unzip the top little bag, and take out my "French for dummies" booklet and graze the chapter "basic greetings."

When a small orange light comes on my book, "Please fasten your seatbelts," says the pilot. Clicking on my seatbelt and my stomach churns as we descend. The clouds come closer and closer outside, and we go into them, white and gray covers the window. Than the city comes into view, squares and triangles of buildings. The infamous Eiffle Tower stands out like a sore thumb, and I grow dizzy and sick to my stomach. I quickly shut the window, and rest my head on the closed window. With nausia I rest my eyes, and hear the pilot say with accomplishment, "Ladies, and gentleman, welcome to France."
