Remind me to never skip again.

At first everything was great. Me and Nikki ate pizza, played video games and watched movies. But all of the fun was soon cut short when Nikki's mom came home at around 5 and invited me to come to church with them. Instead of just letting me deny the offer, Nikki forced me into an unwanted conversation.

"C'mon, go to church," Nikki begs.

"No, I'm not going."

"Please," -she lays her hand on my shoulder-"I really think it will help you."

"Help me with what?" I question with more attitude than intended.

"We've all noticed how much it affected you," her mom joins in. Is it tag-team Amber day?
"I don't know what you're talking about" why are they so damn annoying?
"You're dad," she begins,"he would've wanted you to get help." Oh, she wants to play that card? I've got an even better one.
"Help?" I laugh sarcastically,"why couldn't they 'help' my dad?." That shut them up real quick.

A few years back, my dad got cancer and instead of getting the medical attention he needed, he had every christian in town praying for him. In the beginning, everyone had hope and faith but it wasn't long before we all realized he was a goner. Ive never been to church since and I don't plan on going back.

After realizing that I wasn't changing my mind any time soon, they drove me home. Now,I'm sprawled out on the couch in my pajamas watching supernatural and attempting to catch flying cheerios with my mouth. Apparently, from what the note stuck to the fridge said, my mom went to visit her brother, neil, and won't be back until tuesday. And since liam left this morning I've got the house to myself for 6 days, in case that wasn't obvious enough.

By the time 8 o'clock comes around, I'm a bit too paranoid to sleep. I've got all the lights on, every door and window locked and I'm sitting in a ring of salt holding a spoon. Don't ask. So when I heard someone knock on the door, I yelled as if my life depended on it. Any attempt to stop was futile. Especially when the front door opened and someone enetered. Luckily for me, it wasn't a monster, but Nikki. When she came into the living room, she looked more freaked out than me.

"What on earth are you doing?" She shouted. Isn't it obvious?
"Supernatural,"I mumbled, embarrassed.

"Well," she began," what's with the spoon?"

"Oh this thing?" - I pointed to the spoon- "not important. Now, why are you here?"

"You're spending the night at my house"

"And what makes you think that?," I asked.

"We've got tacos" she knows me so well. I got up and went to go upstairs to my room to get my clothes for school, but Nikki stopped me.

"I've got clothes for you." How?

"You left some at my house," she adds. Oh,right.

During the car ride there, Nikki told me all things we were gonna do when we got to her house. Which included eating, watching TV, playing video games- the usual. But our plans were cut short when I ended up crashing on the couch within the first few minutes of arriving.

*authors note*

Lately, I've notice that not many people have been reading. Not that I'm begging for attention, I just wanted to know if I should continue with the story. But don't worry, you don't have to respond unless you want to.
