Chapter 3

I grabbed my binders and walked to class. He followed behind me closely, observing my every move. I walked into the classroom with the potted ivy sitting everywhere and tree bark hanging from the ceiling. There were individual desks sitting only an inch away from each other.

I decided to sit close to the back of the classroom, and guess what, Dallas sat right next to me. I was starting to think that, he was starting to find out my true identity faster than I had thought. Or did he just like me, or was it that I knew his secret. It didn't really matter to me just yet, but what did was my stomach which had started gurgling, it wasn't very loud but still unpleasant.

All the kids walked in and soon the teacher, the teacher who was a hairy yet sun burnt man. With small beady black eyes and big lips. He had only a little hair on his head and his arms were covered in freckles.

He started class with simple fractions and went on to PI, my grumbling stomach, which quickly grabbed my classmate's attention, distracted me.

The class broke into whispers that weren't too friendly

" looks like ghost girl hadn't had enough souls today "

" oh no, she's going to eat one of us "

" I hope its Mr. Welshman he's getting on my nerves "

" no I hope its Veronica she's being a bitch today, plus ghost girl has slammed the locker on her face anyway "

" yeah she's probably going to finish her off after school, I want to watch "

" supposedly ghost girl broke Veronica's nose, now she wants the money "

" wait, didn't ghost girl say she didn't have any money "

" yeah she said ' ever since her parents died ' she hasn't had any money "

They all turned around and stared at me, I backed up in my seat and squealed a bit. I never had this much attention on me. Then my stomach growl loud enough for the teacher to hear, he said

" OK, who brought their dog to class again "

One kid turned around and said to the teacher " no that's ghost girls stomach "

The teacher said " oh, Ms. Clayton would you like to get detention "

 I said " no Mr. Welshman, I'm sorry "

He said " good now class turn to page 152 and work through page 155 in your textbooks, if you don't finish this in class, its homework "

The class groaned and turned back around in their seats, I sighed and started flipping through my binders, under my chair for my textbook. When I had found it and sat back up there was a peach sitting on my desk, it was ripe and plump full of sweet nectar.

I looked around but everybody's head was to his or her own work, then I turned to Dallas. Who was also working hard on the math problems. I thought to myself

' ok well I guess I can eat it '

I picked the firm but sweet fruit up and took a bite, no one looked at me when I did. So I kept eating while finishing the entire textbook. Funny enough Dallas had already finished the book before me. What the hell, I was suppose to be smarter than any other human. I angrily ate my peach and finished the book.

 Ding-Dong, the bell rang

I picked up my things and left throwing the peach pit in the trash. I walked out the door and to my locker, and finally it was the last class of the day P.E.
