Warning: mention of a drowning feeling.
——————"Y/N get up you lazy sod. I've missed you!" Angelina screeched.
I jumped up at the sight of my friend, who had already been asleep the night before when I had gotten to bed.
"Angie, hi." I said, leaning in for a hug.
"Oh how I've missed you. Good summer?" She asked.
"The best actually. Got hit by quite a powerful spell at the World Cup, but Molly healed me quite well." I say.
"That's good then. Anyway. Hurry up, I want to get down to breakfast, so that I can enter my name in the goblet." She said happily.
"Your entering?" I questioned.
"Yeah, I'll be 17 a week before the deadline, so I'm able to enter. I can't wait." She said. I gulped, the weird feeling retuning. The feeling you get when you know something isn't right. We headed down to the common room, where as per usual, Lee and George were waiting for my arrival. They said their 'hello's' to Angelina and Fred, again, as usual, was slumped in the corner. He did his usual routine, I was so used to, of acting like he didn't care I was there, but then I'd catch him looking. It was like a cycle. I bid goodbye to Angie, who wanted to wait for the other girls, and we headed down for breakfast. It's no secret, that Freds been with a lot of girls, after all, they swarm him when he walks down the halls. That's a reason why me and Lee, usually split off from George and Fred. George hates the attention his brother receives, especially as he gets mistaken for Fred, and the other girls throw themselves as him. George is known for the soft twin, the one who everyone mistakes for Fred. And Fred, well, he's the player, the one who's constantly getting pissed at parties, has nights with girls and never speaks with them again, and hasn't had a relationship that's lasted longer than a week.
As we walked down the hall, me next to Lee and Fred and George in front, Katie Bell and another Hufflepuff girl in the year below, stepped out onto the scene.
"Hey Fred." Katie said, rubbing her fingers along George's chest seductively. The actual Fred carried on walking, along with Lee, laughing and leaving George to deal with the situation. He seemed extremely uncomfortable, "Katie dear, that's George." I laughed, pulling him along and dismissing the girl. She stared daggers into my back, and George whispered his thanks into my ear."So shortie. Care to accompany us to the lake?" We had just turned up at the table for breakfast, and Fred had actually spoken a word to me.
"Hang on a minute." I said, "right, first of all, shortie, really? Secondly, why on Earth are you trying to get me to the lake, you trying to murder me?"
"That sounds fun, but no. Well, my idiotic brother thought about inviting you, not me." When he said these words, for some reason, I felt something crush inside of me, but why?. "And Shortie." He continued, "well, it's in the name isn't it?"
"Shut up! I'm not that short." I defended.
"Your a foot smaller than us." He smirked.
I held up the middle finger towards him, which caused his smirk to widen. I caught George and Lee occasionally making eye contact with one another, and then pointing at the pair of us."seriously though Y/N." George had spoken up, "do you want to come for a swim. We've got a question for you anyway, but not until you agree."
"Fine." I groaned, miserably.———
Shortly after eating, I made my way back my dorm, about to retrieve my swimming costume. I grabbed a black bikini from my drawers and made my way into the bathroom to slip it on. I viewed myself in the mirror, excepting the way I looked, and after fixing up my hair, retreated back to my room, to fetch an overall. There was no way that I was walking down the corridors like this. I slammed the bathroom door, and winced when I saw that the room was already occupied, and I had probably just scared the living life out of Angelina.
"Sorry Angie." I said, at the girl who had her back to me and was rummaging around in her desk.
"It's alright Y/N." She turned around to face me, but instantly turned bright red, and I couldn't help but notice that her gaze lasted far too long. I actually felt a little embarrassed.
"Sorry, I'm just grabbing an overall, me and the boys are going for a swim, they want to tell me something." I shrugged, "Don't tell anyone though. I don't think we are supposed to be in there."
She laughed and then saluted, "your secrets safe with me."
I grinned and turned to walk out the door, only to trace my steps back again, "oh and Angie. Do me a favour, if I'm not back in the next hour, assume they've killed me. Blame Fred, he's the twat."
She only laughed, shaking her head, and turned back to whatever she was doing before.
