"Rise and shine, sleeping beauty."
"What?"
SMACK.
Well, that's how I got here, after falling asleep last night, I'm now on the floor of the common room, with a laughing Fred stood over me, whilst George and Lee howl in the corner.
I groaned, covering my head with my hands, and praying that I was dreaming.
I felt a hand touch my back, and instantly slapped it away, "fuck off."
"That's not very nice."
"Fred I said fuck off." I yelled, jumping off from the couch and storming upstairs. I knew it wouldn't last, him being nice to me. It was just a thing of the moment, and here he was, yet again, pissing me off."Woah, what's wrong with you?" Angelina asked as I slammed the door closed behind me. I sat on my bed, and crossed my arms over my chest in a huff.
"Fred's what's wrong! That's what!" I snapped, and my expression softened as I looked towards Angies startled face, "sorry. It's just that he's an absolute prick."
"I know." She laughed, walking over the bed and pulling me into a hug, "all boys are pricks. You've just got to learn to put up with him. For George's sake."
I groaned, falling back on to my bed like my usual dramatic self.
"The names are called today." I said, doing my best to distract myself, "you excited?"
"Completely. Nervous though. But I'll be happy if a Gryffindor manages to get in, even if it's not me." She shrugged, "I'm just praying it's not Diggory. He brags enough as it is."I only nodded, not sure how to reply. No one in Gryffindor really likes Cedric, the rest of the school does, even the Slytherins. I couldn't really understand why. I like Cedric, yes he's a little full of himself at times, but he's always friendly. In fact, I got on with the boy quite well.
After a long 10 minutes of persuasion, I had finally gotten dressed, and made my walk down into the common room with Angie, ready to head for breakfast.
"Woken up now?" I looked towards the couch to see Fred grinning from ear to ear, George and Lee a small distance away hiding a laugh. I pulled Angies arm, continuing to walk, my middle finger raising in the air, as I walked along.
"She does not like you." George said, his voice laced with sarcasm.
"Piss off."
There was a loud crash, and that was all I heard as we both exited the room."So what do we have today?" I asked Angelina, as we settled down for breakfast.
"Well, we have Herbology and Transfigurations. Class is cut short because of the announcement, thank god." She replied with a sigh.
"Hey. You'll be fine, alright? Whether you get into this tournament or not, I'm rooting for you." I winked, and Angelina smiled lightly.
I continued to stuff my face with various foods, uninterested in anyone around me, or anyone who could be looking at me."Looking delightful as always. Very lady like." A person to the right of me said. I noticed the voice all too well, as he just happened to share it with his twin brother. The difference was, this one was filled with sarcasm, not the friendly tone in which I was used to.
"For gods sake Weasley. Would you for once, just leave me alone? And let's be honest, do you really think I care about how a 'lady' should eat?" I demanded.
I could see the look of amusement across his face, and we both knew that any word that came out of his mouth would annoy me. The difference was, Fred took pride in annoying me, for what reason I don't know, but I couldn't stand it.
"Want to go a walk?" He asked, and for once he actually sounded quite sincere.
"What?" I asked, shocked by his words, but most importantly, confused as to why he was talking to me at all.
"Why not? Got time to spare. George and Lee are off somewhere. Class doesn't start for another half hour. Let's go?" Fred said, shrugging and began to stand up.
"As fun as that sounds." I lied through gritted teeth, "Me and Angie have plans."
"No we don't." She protested, receiving a glare from me. I was going to kill that girl and her big mouth.
"Perfect, come on tiny."I groaned but reluctantly followed him as he strolled out of the hall.
"Now what's the real reason you wanted to take a walk? What prank do you need help with?" I asked, finally reaching his side, "for the love of god mate. Slow the fuck down! Some of us aren't giants."
He laughed at my outburst, but I was surprised when he actually followed my wishes, and slowed himself down.
"There's no prank. I genuinely wanted to take a walk. And thought, you know what, what better company than my favourite girl?" He smirked, causing me to roll my eyes, fed up with him already.
"Shut your mouth Weasley. And tell me the real reason." I demanded, but my words only seem to have negative effect.
"Ooh last name basis now are we?" He smirks, "wait. I don't even know your last name. What is it?"
"None of your business." I say, and take a seat on the grass near the tree.
I look out towards the lake, and happen to catch the wide smirk of excitement on Freds face. For some reason, he seems overly amused, it's almost creepy.
Yet, I must be pretty dense allowing myself to follow Fred anywhere, and that theory is soon proved when I feel the water dripping down my head.
