Transgender Peter Parker (irondad oneshots/Spiderpool)

Meet and greet

Peter was at a 'meet and greet' type of event that Tony put together for him to answer some questions from the media and some kids could meet their favorite superhero, and he was a mess.

"Yes, the one in the back with the black hair"
Spider-Man said, pointing to the lady, she stood up from her chair and spoke
"Is it true that your a high schooler?"
She asked and Peter answered
"Yes it's true that I'm still studying in the classroom, I plan to get a degree just in case the whole super hero thing doesn't work out"
He said in a joking way, the crowd laughed and peter announced that was the last question for the day and he'd be out soon to take pictures and meet the children that sat patiently as the Q&A went on
"That was great Spidey"
Tony said once peter got behide the curtain, peters mask fall away and revealed him smiling
"Thanks mr. Stark, it's weird to see so many people that just want to see me"
Peter said, running his hand through his hair suddenly realizing how long it was feting a a rush of dysphoria ran over him, the look on his face changing, Tony noticed right away
"Hey kid, once this is all over we can go out and do some stuff together, just me and you"
He said, Peter smiled at the thought and his mask going back over his face
"Thanks mr. Stark- I mean Tony"
Peter said, Tony eyed him
"Ok get back out there"
He said, Peter went back out on the stage, walked down the tiny stairs off the stage and was met with a bunch of kids
"Hey everyone"
Petter said and the kids all yelled

After Peter had gotten pics and autographed a bunch of posters, paper and foreheads there was one kid left
"Hey kid, where are your parents?"
Peter asked, it was only him and the kid in the room
"They didn't want to come"
The kid said in a shy voice, Peter thought for a minute, they looked young but not young enough that they couldn't be on there own, about 11-13 he thought
"Oh well, what's your name?"
Peter said, the kid suddenly got tears in their eyes and peter panicked
"Oh hey kid it's ok, what's wrong?"
Peter said, the kid looked up into peters eyes and spoke
"My name is Ashley..but I'd rather be called max, sorry it's just..been a hard day fighting with my parents about the name"
Peter suddenly realized that the kid was trans and smiled
"Well I think it's a wonderful name, does your parents not accept you?"
He asked
"No, they think it's wrong to be transgender or anything of the LGBTQ"
Max said
"Well max you may have not known but your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is also trans and bi"
The kids eyes lit up brightly and peter smiled
"Really?!"
Max said, pater chuckled
"Yup"
Peter said max was smiling widely
"This is amazing!, one of my favorite superhero's is just like me, I just- wow"
Max said, they ran their hand through their short hair
"I'm so happy to know we can be strong and accepted to"
Max said
"Of course, all of the Avengers are supporters, well Thor and Steve don't really get it but they are learning"
Peter chuckled, max did to
"I've got to get going, moms waiting in the car for me"
The kid said
"Remember max, if you ever need someone there is always someone to reach out to"
Peter said, max nodded and they said their goodbyes
"That was cute"
Tony said, leaning in one of the doorways that lead into the room
"Wha- was your there the whole time-?"
Peter said, embarrassed
