I always get so giddy when people ask me for persona~ I wanted to call him Ren because I had a fox named Ren but I think Akira is nicely suited. I called my Joker, Chrollo, and fell in love~

Akechi was surprised when you offered that you didn't want to be publicly known as the Prince Detective's girlfriend. At first he was against having you known, not wanting to risk the public losing adoration for him for having a girlfriend. Now, - he's seen a lot of threats and aggressive quotes directed to the thought of him being with someone, - he's kind of interested in letting your little romance get out. Imagining all the crooks he could corrupt, the drama, the depression he'd inflict upon you and putting you in a vulnerable state. His vulnerable, little girlfriend.
Well, it was definitely coming to that. You were becoming a lot bolder lately, something Akechi was becoming skeptical about. Your anxiety used to have you hiding in your house or clinging to his arm almost 24/7, yet now you were initiating your own conversations and making eye contact a lot more. It was wonderful progress that your boyfriend should be proud about, if he was actually a good person.
It was hard to keep these thoughts out of his head, his eyes trained on your lips as you talked about your day out yesterday. The two of you were at a lovely, little restaurant in Kichijoji, something you never would have said yes to after a day out, having lunch together. Were you cheating on him? The nerve. He'd murder the other in front of you -, no, he'd kill his shadow and make you watch as your affair gouges out his own eyes. Yeah... That sounds nice.
"-But lately I've been more worried about you. It seems you're always drifting off when we're together, are you getting enough sleep? Akechi? Akechi!" Your shouting and snapping fingers got his attention, the man blinking back to the much less morbid reality.
He gave you a charming smile, stirring the ice in his tall glass as he explained, "I'm sorry, sweetie. It's just a recent case, been getting on my nerves."
Your gentle hand encased his, eyes twinkling up from under your lashes, "You know you can talk to me about anything, right? Well, I mean I know there is the whole 'confidentiality' with work, but... Ah, you get me."
Akechi gave an airy sigh, his heart clenching. He couldn't kill you, he would physically hurt you and make you bleed, but your life was his to hold. You loved him for him, you didn't even know his occupation when you met. "I always feel better knowing I can. Thank you, (Y/n)." Absentmindedly he added, "It's crazy how outgoing you've become in the past week or so."
The tensing of your body did not go unnoticed. You knew this, he knew this, it was stringing a web of tension that had both of you stilling. You withdrew your hand, nibbling your lower lip and picking up a chip from your plate, slowly biting it for comfort, "Actually, I have a confession." Akechi merely cocked his eyebrow, not making any promises of his emotion. You accepted this as your time to continue, "I didn't want to say anything because I know how strongly you feel and I know you will reprimand me but - , Akechi, I spent four whole days and nights in bed, I was getting desperate!"
'Spit it out. Spit it out. Spit it out!' His inner voice was venomous, surely to make anyone feel sick if he let them hear.
"Okay okay," you took a deep breath, calming your own nerves. Your brilliant (e/c) eyes met his in a serious stare, "I wrote to the PhanSite and requested the Phantom Thieves help."
Akechi's eyes darkened significantly, his tone low and almost threatening, "(Y/n)-"
"-I know! I know, it was dangerous and stupid and, I just need you to understand that I was in a dark, dark place. One night when I was walking through the park-"
