"Do I have to lock you up, songbird?"
"I've been fair to you so far, haven't I, kitten?"
"You're late! Omigosh I thought something bad had happened-"
"Customer or not, that man was weird, throw out that number. I've seen this happen time and time again."
Always the overbearing couple, but, that was Shouta and Hizashi for you. They were funny, literally, making you giggle with little retorts and actions. Hizashi would coddle you into his chest, petting your hair and cooing how he could just put you in a bow and keep you curled up in their bed - before promptly pointing to a pretty collar in the window of a pet shop.
Shouta was the more sensible one, pushing you between them if someone shady walked by, holding your hand when crossing the street, tucking your hair back whenever it got in your face.
It was like having two, homosexual parents. You honestly didn't know how else to word it, but you were grateful. Being loved was an odd thing to you, yet these two made you feel so special and you were a glutton for it. It was something you expressed, however, and they seemed almost offended. Hizashi taking your hand across the table, green eyes gazing into yours, "Sweetheart, you could never be a bother for us. We wouldn't know what to do without you!"
Even today, the only day they have off for the week, they had taken you out to lunch at a pretty, little garden cafe. The prices were quite high, though you could afford it this month, they refused to let you pay. It was like, instead of going on a date as just the two of them, they had instead decided to take you out for this romantic adventure. "You at least understand why I'd feel like I'm intruding, right? I mean, when was the last time you two went on a date? You're a married couple and I'm an adult, I hope you don't feel obligated to bring me everywhere, I know how important your own space is!" Your little laugh did nothing to ease their frowns, or moreso looks of concern.
"No, I don't," Hizashi admitted, seeming serious to your words, "We don't want you to feel that way, sugarplum. Is it how we're actin'? You'll tell us if we're doin' something wrong, won't ya?"
In compassion to his husband's distress, Shouta reached over to settle his hand over his, gently stroking the ring and taking him off you. His tired eyes, though seeming a little more chipper today, gave you a wary stare, "Are you getting sick of us?"
"Absolutely not!" You almost yelled, smacking your hands on the table in shock. Then again, you were the one that brought this up to them, so it's probably safe to assume you want to push them away. Taking a deep breath to steady yourself in this new situation, you did your best to calm down, making your smile more reassuring (you think; you hope), "You just spend every other day with me, it's like we're never apart and I was getting worried you might be bored or... Something."
Mic was now jumping his leg, anxious about your words. Were you a bad guy? You didn't understand their affliction. He squeezed Aizawa tight, as if getting some of his stress out from that action, "Hun, we will never, ever get bored of you. You're the most precious person in our life! Is this- Is this what has had ya bein' quiet these past few days? I thought it might've been the shock from that forward customer but if it was us all along and we didn't even see it - AH. SHOU, WE'RE BAD HUSBANDS."
"Voice down," Aizawa growled, sinking into his chair a bit as the few outside customers looked your way. There were whispers about the two heroes, but no one stepped forward to do anything, respecting their lunch break with you. You knew Shouta would have been heavily grateful for this, and by the looks of it, Hizashi was too as he became all too eager to let his husband continue for him. Shouta idly moved a serviette on the table, making it neat and straight, "You have nothing to worry about, kitten. Spending time with you is a relief from our daily lives. God knows we see each other at both jobs enough-"
