[The next morning, Edward leaves Tidmouth Sheds, leaving Thomas, Eagle and Henry alone]

The next morning, Thomas found it hard to wake up.

THOMAS: (yawns)

His fire went out and there wasn't enough steam.

THOMAS: (yawns)

[Eagle was still asleep]

HENRY: (whistles)

THOMAS: Oh!

[Eagle was awaken by Henry's whistle]

EAGLE: Not so loud! Henry, was that really necessary?

HENRY: Sorry. You need to wake up, Thomas. It's nearly time for the express. Gordon will be waiting for his coaches.

EAGLE: Well, there was no need to whistle him awake.

[Eagle then checks the clock on the sheds and realizes what time it is]

EAGLE: Blistering boilers! Thomas better get the Express ready or Gordon will be late. I need to wake Thomas up first. (Eagle blows his whistle) Wake up Thomas. Rise and shine!

At last, Thomas started.

THOMAS: Oh, dear. Oh, dear. Must get going. Must get going.

[The scene changes to Gordon waiting at Knapford as Thomas puffs up behind him with his coaches]

GORDON: Hurry up, you!

THOMAS: Hurry up, yourself.

GORDON: Hmm, yes, I will. (Get bumped) Oh.

Gordon haven't forgiven Thomas for waking him up from his nap. He started off so suddenly....

THOMAS: Whoa!

[Eagle puffs up]

EAGLE: Hey, what's going on here? (Eagle sees Gordon with Thomas at the back of his train) Gordon! What are you doing?!

.....that there was no time to uncouple Thomas.

STATIONMASTER: Hold up!

THOMAS: Stop! Stop!

GORDON: (whistles and laughing) Come on! Keep up!

[He thundered down the track with Thomas behind him]

Poor Thomas was going faster than he had ever gone before.

THOMAS: Stop! Stop!

GORDON: Hurry, hurry, hurry!

He was out of breath and his wheels hurt him but he had to go on.

THOMAS: I shall never be the same again! My wheels will be quite worn out!

[They hurtle past Edward]

THOMAS: Edward!

Edward: Thomas!

TRUCKS: Ow! Ow!

[Gordon raced down the track]

GORDON: Express coming through! (whistles)

THOMAS: Aaaah! I don't like speeeeed!

GORDON: (laughs)

P.A: The train now approaching Platform 1 is the 8:17 Express to Vicarstown.

[Gordon pulls into Wellsworth Station]

GORDON: Oh, yes!

THOMAS: (panting out of breath)

[Eagle pulls up next to Gordon]

EAGLE: Hey, what the big idea with going so fast like that? That was clearly uncalled for.

GORDON: Just thought I teach Thomas a lesson.

EAGLE: Well, this wasn't the right way to do it. But what for?

GORDON: For waking me up from my nap.

EAGLE: It's never safe to pull a train with another engine coupled to the brake coach.

Gordon: (laughs) Well, little Thomas. Now you know what hard work is like, don't you? (laughs and departs)

EAGLE:: (growls) Honestly. (Looks at Thomas) Looks like Thomas has to go slowly back to the yard, due to how worn out he is.

Poor Thomas puff slowly away to rest.

Thomas: (panting then sighing)

And had a long, long drink.
