Kyra's POV:
"MOM have you seen my converses I can't find them I'm going to be late for school again if I can't find them." Ugh where the hell did I leave my shoes. "MOTHER"
"For goddess sake Kyra quit yelling and check in the kitchen under the table." Huh why would they be there I run down the stairs and head to the kitchen table. Ohhhh yeah I forgot I took them off when I was eating a snack at the table yesterday. " Thanks mom gotta fly I'm gonna be late to school yet again." I hear my mom huff in annoyance as I run to the door. Can she honestly blame me I'm her daughter she's late to everything too.
"KYRA where in the world were you for first class I had to sit next to snooty Jane. More like she sat next to me. By the way Mr.Jones gave you detention for Friday yet again. Better find a way out of it your birthday is Friday."
Ughh not again moms going to kill me I will just tell her I'm and Fay's house.
"Fay I hear you quit yelling everyone is staring at me. Plus it's not a big I'm not having many people there you know the tradition where the father flys with you for the first time well needless to say that won't happen so it's no big deal it's just a normal day like any other I just get my wings." I turn and walk off Fay is my closest friend and but she should know my 18th birthday was going to be hard on me especially since my mother won't ever tell me who he is. Typically every fairy has a party and everyone leaves by 11 at night so we can get prepared for there shift it's painful but so worth it once you get your wings but not only that the tradition is meant to be special father and daughter fly for the first time together. But for mine I'll be all alone in the filed by the forest.
They day drags on slowly and and by the time I get home I noticed another car in the driveway a very fancy black car. I slowly walked inside and when I looked in the living I see my mom arguing with so guy. I quietly walk in so they don't hear me. " You can't take her after all this time no call not even coming to meet her how dare you put claim on her after all these years she's not leaving to rule your kingdom she's just a child." I watched them intensely. "Clara you have no choice if she doesn't come the council will come and neither of us want this plus how are you supposedly hide her from everyone once she transitions into a hybrid." Who the hell is this guy and who are they talking about wait a minute no no no I got a clearer look at the guy once he looked at me . We at the same dark hair and green eyes. "Mom who is this and what the hell is going on." My mom jumped once she saw me she had a look of guilt on her face. "Sweetie I don't know how to explain this I have thought of so many ways to tell you but I just didn't know how. Honey please take a seat and listen to us we have a lot to tell I'm sorry beforehand baby."
