The ring on my phone wakes me.
"Hello?"
"Miss. Corsair?"
"Yes."
"We wanted to inform you about the man from last night, was from the Solitaire residence." They say as i sit up and look at the phone it was the cop as they said.
"He is safe." They added.
"Thank you for informing." I say
"Bye have a nice day." The call ends.I yawn and wonder who it was and where the Solitaire residence was. He surely was charming and the place he lives sounds expensive.
I look at the clock and walk into the bathroom I get ready and walk out wearing an oversized white tee with a blue skin fit jeans tying my hair in a bun. Looking like i never took a bath.
It was a bright day and I had to shop for groceries. I walk into the shopping center.
It barely had customers, during the morning a soft music played in the shop. I stepped in walking to the instant food lane. Picking up noodles and pasta and coffee and a lot more. I walk ahead looking at the foods with so much attention that i crash into a person, he wore a fancy black suit with a red tie. He adjusted his suit. Looking at me with his blue eyes.
"I'm sorry." He steps behind.
"Don't be-" I pause and look down at the name tag on his chest. "Mr. Marcus it was turely my fault." I smile.
"No worries, miss." He walked away with a straight face. As I looked at him until he vanished at the end of the lane. I chuckle in annoyance and move on.
I walk out with a heavy grocery bag while checking the receipt with the other hand I had spent more than I wanted. I look up As my eyes meet with someone I had seen before. I can not recognize who it is so i shrink my eyes to see if i knew him by any chance. I move closer to him and our eyes meet. I look away as soon as i realise. He was the man from before. From last night the drunk head. Sitting in a black rolls Royce.
"Excuse me miss." The voice of the gaurd from before. I curled my toes turning behind.
"I'm sorry." I walk away home.
"Thank you." He says.He must be really rich sitting in a rolls Royce. Reciding in a bungalow. It's fascinating how someone can do both. Be drunk like a broke ass and a fucking show off to bring a rolls Royce for shopping. These people cause pollution. Or maybe I am just jealous of how he has an expensive car and I can't afford a cycle.
After thinking for a few minutes I pushed the receipt in and started walking home thinking about how I will be able to pay my sisters high school admission fees.
------
"Coro." A pounding on the door mid after noon breaks me out of my nap. "Open the door." James screamed.
"Coming." I walked to the door opening and looking at James's pale face.
"Its time." He says with shivering hands.
"For?"
"The last meet's final episode." He smiles.
"Seriously. What time is it?" I rush to the clock in my bedroom as he follows.
"5.30? I thought it was 3." I pat my head and run to the living room switching on the tv.
"QUICK." James jumped on the sofa and opened the bag of chips he had being carrying around. "What were you doing?"
"Nothing much, washing the dishes and thinking about how will I pay my sisters admission fees which costs $4000."
"Borrow from me." He smiles and i nod a no. "I owe you my life you saved me from depression all thoes dollors that you saved for your sister was spent on my rent and bills. I owe you."
"You needed help."
"You need it now." He smiles. We were mid way through the episode when a knock on my door disturbed us.
"Marcus?" I opened the door.
"You?" He noded.
"YES."
"My sir wanted to inform the owners of the flats in this building about the dinner he has held tomorrow evening. For his welcome." He paused as he saw James walk to us.
"A self welcome dinner? Is that a thing?"
"Maybe, maybe not. It's a formal dinner." He says. "I better go up and inform." He turns away.
"You don't need to. The second floor and third floor is owned by James. There is no other person who lives here. Just an 80 year old lady who doesn't step out." I say as James comes out.
"I should inform her too."
"She is my mom." James says.
"Alright then. Tomorrow 6.30 at Solitaire residence." He walks off.
"Wait." I say. "What's the name of your sir?"
"Mr.Jaden lewi." He nods heading of."Where is this solitaire?" I chuckle.
"The bungalow next to our building." He smiles.
"Wait wasn't that 'Precoles home'?" I smile.
"They changed the name to their previous place's." He pats the pillow asking me to come next to him.
"Rich! It's super fancy, the drunk man from last night is the owner." I nod.
His eyes widen. "Drunk man from last night." His mouth was open.
"Flies James." I smile.
"But that man. I mean he wore the expensive $10000 shoes but seriously?"
"Do not judge a book by its cover and what kind of person has dinner at 6.30 it's funny."
"YES, I eat after 10. Or atleast after 9.00 at minimum." He pulled his arms towards his laps that were spread on the back rest of the sofa.
"Same pinch." I smile. "So you are going with your tall man?" I tease.
"No. He won't join. We aren't out publically." He blushes. "So I'm going with you unless you plan on taking Mr. Andrews." He teases back.
"No way. He doesn't have an invitation." I say as my phone rings. "I'll check."I walk to the phone that was kept on the Dressing table in my room.
"It's an ass calling." I shout.
"You mean Mr. Ass." He smiles as i walk to him.
"I'm putting this on speaker. Hush." I sit next to him adjusting my shorts.
"Hello, Crosiar!" He says.
"Good evening sir." I roll my eyes.
"Would you like to come with me to a party?" He was surely smiling and James couldnt control his laugh.
"But I'm already taking James." I say.
"Isn't there place for another." He questions knowing I can't deny."
"I guess." I reply.
"Meet me at the gates. 6.25." He says.
"Okay I'm hanging up." I hit my forehead with my palm and cringe as I looked into James's eyes.
"Irritating!" I say.
"You bet!" He smirks.(Ignore any errors)
