Clint's POV

I blinked slowly opening my eyes, It was dark out. I sat up slowly rubbing my eyes and checked the alarm clock on my drawer.

5:43am

I sighed and looked next to me on the bed. Pietro was laying there fast asleep. I sighed again. He looked so peaceful. I got up throwing some random fresh clothes on and stumbled into the kitchen. My eyesight was a little foggy and I didn't feel quite right. Weird.

I started to make myself a cup of coffee ignoring the ringing in my ears. This was all to familiar. I shook my head looking to the left. I saw the pasta I asked Pietro to make there from yesterday. Poor kid. Stuck with a soulmate like me. I sighed opened the tub and silently ate the rest of the pasta. My vision was still blurry and I could hardly see anymore. The ringing in my ears got louder and my head pounded.

"He hasn't hurt me!" I yelled to no one in particular putting my hands over my ears to stop the gut wrenching sound.

"He hasn't hurt me!" I shouted again.

"Has he?" I then whispered before I blacked out, just as I saw a figure run towards me.

Pietro's POV

I shot up in bed,

Clint.

I could hear his shouts,

"He hasn't hurt me!" I heard him say and with my super speed I was there in a second.

Has he?" I heard him whisper before he collapsed I started forwards catching him in my arms before he hit the ground.

"Oh god Clint," I whispered, as if on que everyone else ran in. They all just stared at the lifeless Clint in my arms. I pressed a ear to his chest and heard the regular thumping of his heart. Thank god.

"What happened?" Tony asked.

"I-I don't know, I-I just heard the shouts and I came and he passed out. Oh god Clint," I said again.

"Tony go get the book," Steve said and Tony looked confused for a moment but then understood. Sam and Bucky helped me carry Clint to the sofa. I sat down opposite him putting my head in my hands.

Tony came back with the book and Steve snatched it off him.

"Here," He said sitting next to me and pointing at a paragraph on one of the pages.

"I remembered reading something like this when Tony told us everything, It was when I kinda freaked out before but obviously that changed," Steve said and Tony just smirked at the memory,

"T-that's not the point," Steve stuttered, "Just read."

I scanned over the page he was pointing at.

It read:

Once every thousand years people are sucked into the land of San-Francisco 643 AD.  The rip in time or 'portal' as people have named it is special. It only picks and chooses a select few to enter itself. They could all know each other or be complete and utter strangers, It never matters. Once it has selected the group of people it lures them there, no matter how dangerous or unwilling.

The group all have a soulmate that they will never admit there feelings for, all of them. No matter how meant to be they are they will never end up together. The portal rewards them with a chance. One chance to be together. Though there is a catch. One person is put under a spell,

The soulmate Curse.

The curse is dangerous. It begins just a few days after they complete the soulmate bond. The person begins to feel sad, depressed even, they then become sick, and then finally they black out. You never know how long this person will be out.
