Helen's pov continued

After dinner was done his dad asked me to follow him when we were inside his study he sat on his chair he looked at me and then started laughing " that idiot son of mine chose you when I was the one who already arranged this but he refused saying that he better off alone and now wants to settle with the daughter of my best friend" he said he also told me that he was angry when my dad told him that Roger had kissed me when I was just five and that's the reason why his training started early we were laughing and as to e went he told me that Charles will be very upset about this and I agreed after three hours Mr Montford calls Roger inside I was sitting on the couch now " Helen come here and sit I need to talk to both of you" his dad said I informed him that we were talking for the past three hours " I just want to know how much now much Roger knows about you "he replied I agree and sat besides Roger he asked me if everything okay and I said " yeah just another stupid interview session your dad took for three hours" " Roger how long you have known her" " hmm a year now probably" he replied "and what do your know about her and her family" his dad asked Roger told him that he had done a background check on me he knew where I studied etc etc.." her family details" his dad asked Roger told his dad that I was an orphan I wanted to fall of the chair laughing but his dad told him that I'm close to Charles and Roger agreed when his dad told him that Charles will be here I was happy he asked us to stay separate but Roger kept arguing and won but I was put under pressure when his dad asked me who would I chose Charles or Roger and I had to go with Charlie Roger was angry hurt everything he was shouting at me and his dad was smiling I had to stop him so I told him that I considered Charlie as a brother he was relived but he was clearly upset When we were in our room Roger asked me to rest I knew he was angry so I apologized but he shooed me away as he smoked as soon as the cigarette left his lips I kissed him he was angry so he did not kiss back but I continued kissing him Roger took me in the balcony and then in the bed I was so tired that I fell asleep naked When I woke up I was in a shirt and Roger was sitting besides me I got up and stretched my aching body "are you feeling good or is it still hurting" Roger asked " hmm it hurting " I said and kissed his jaw " Charles is here and he's okay with us being together" he said "really " I said and jumped on him " oh slow down my lioness " he said and hugged me " where is he " I asked " right now busy with dad but during dinner you can see him" he said I placed my head on his chest and said " Roger after we get married also I have to take that shot" "no baby never you are not going to take any shots after this " he said "so I will be on pills then" she asked " no baby you won't be on anything I want to get you pregnant as soon as possible because I don't trust your brother" he said and I slapped his arm during dinner I met Charles he was happy he told me dad would be here and we would have a private engagement ceremony in a week this was going too fast than I expected all his cousins and his twin sisters arrived the next day they were friendly not grumpy like Roger I loved their company Charlie had told me that dad would be there before engagement and that was five days later in the meantime his twin sisters were showing me how beautiful Santorini was they took me shopping and we roamed the whole town they had a private beach and it was beautiful I completely forgot about Roger

hen we came home they had more than ten bags in their hands and the remaining bags were in the car I didn't want to shop because I'm bad at it and I wanted to use my card but they did it for me anyways his sister's were cute and younger than him Amelia and Nora when I went in my room Roger wasn't there I placed the bag on the floor and started massaging my feet when Roger walked in he was on call with someone " is it hurting" he asked as he took my feet in his hands and started massaging it after ending the call and I nodded " looks like you people got everything and why didn't you use the card which o gave you" he asked " I wanted to use mine" I replied "did they allow you to use it " he asked and I shook my head " for a whole day you have ignored me so now lets spend sometime together" he said and kissed me.
