12~ Falling for an eternity

Dream wakes up panicked not knowing where he is. A black room, where he can't even see himself. Dream was sitting with his legs crossed on something? Dream had no idea since everything was extremely dark. He stands up quickly, spinning around in all directions. "Where am I!?" He yells out, to he thought no one, his voice echos far and wide. "Well... You and I, are in you head." Says a familiar voice. He spins in circles, looking for a figure but to no prevail. "Who are you!" Dream calls in complete shock. "Wow. No need to yell at your soulmate!" Says the angelic voice again. "Soulmate!" Dream says hopefully, with what looked like stars on his mask where his eyes were. "How come I can't see you?" He yells again into nothingness. "We haven't met. You have no idea what I look." Says the voice of an angel. "Your waking up now, I best be going!" George continues but his voice begins fading out. "Wait! I want to talk more! I want to get to know you! Sometimes all I think about is you!" Dream says frantically, he was standing but once George's voice fades away he falls into darkness. He falls through nothingness, maybe he was always falling?

Dream awakes in a puddle of sweat. He felt tired and dirty, but at least that was the best sleep he had in years. What was the dream? Could that really have been my soulmate? He thought, long and hard he thought about it. Dream gave up on the idea and he eventually he sat up and got out of the bed. Dream knew he was going to find his soulmate soon, so he had to keep moving! Dream put his bag on, he only just left the house before a familiar face appeared out of nowhere. "D-dream?" He says. Dream turns to face this voice before the man jumps on him, into a bear hug. "IT IS YOU! DREAM! I MISSED YOU!" Dream pulls the man off him by the shoulders. "SAPNAP! HOLY SHIT!" Dream yells then bringing him back into a great big bear hug.

"Dream! It's been so long!" Sapnap exclaimed being the one who pulls away. "I mean, ever since the fire! I thought you died!" Sapnap yelled at his childhood in pure cheerfulness. Dream doesn't reply, instead he looks down at the bridge the two of them are standing on. "Oh.. sorry Dream." Sapnap says knowing well he hit a memory hidden in Dreams head. "It's alright. It's in past!" Dream replies looking up, having a complete mood swings. From the outside Sapnap sees a happy, cheerful smiley mask he's putten on. But what he can't see is years of pain and suffering.

"Why are you here? Man two new people in only a few days." Sapnap asks but mumbling the last sentence to himself. "Oh I think I'm just passing through. You see I'm following my soulmate! Wait- WAS THERE SOMEONE HERE BEFORE ME?!!" Dream yells at Sapnap, Dream had clasped Sapnaps shoulders. He flinchs at how loud he had yelled at him. "Yeah?" Sapnap answers in confusion. "His name was George or something. Why?" Sapnap asks in complete and utter confusion. There was silence between them, Dream let's go of his shoulders, rubs the back of his neck and looks to the side. Sapnap loudly gasps and says "HES YOUR SOULMATE! OH MY GOD!" Sapnap yells back at him. Dream lifts up his mask only showing his mouth and awkardly smiles at his best friend. "Dreeeeeeeeam!" Sapnap says, beginning to spin around in excitment. "What?" Dream asks pulling his mask back down and making it comfortable. "I can help you meet him!" Sapnap says happily. "What!?" Dream says in a mix of embarrassment and shock.

"I mean.. how were you going to go up to him?" He begins. "hI iM yOuR sOuLmAtE, dReAm!" He mocks Dream, sarcastically. "I mean COME ON! Who are you kidding!?" Sapnap says again, this time a bit more questioning. Dream stutters. How would I greet him? Dream thought. "I woke up not even 30 minutes ago, can we please just catch up?" Dream asked Sapnap, tiredly. Doing the most Sapnap-ish thing, he pouted but obliged. The two began walking around and chatting about what happened between those 9 years when Dreams family and house went up in smoke.

"It started when I was standing on the east bridge, ready to end it all, when I felt my compass in my pocket. And I thought, who else would love me?" Dream said to his childhood friend with his hands in his green hoodie pockets. "Thats deep... BUT WOW you didn't even think about me when you were about to jump!" Sapnap said trying to lighten the mood the best way he could, bullying. "SAPNAP! We weren't even talking! YOU THOUGHT I DIED!" Dream yelled jokingly, punching his arm. The two laughed at each other's teasing jokes.

"Now that we have caught up" Sapnap began. Here we go Dream thought "How about George!" Sapnap says excitedly to his friend. "Oh my GOD! What? What do you mean?!" Dream says jokingly, looking at him. "You know! How and when do you want to meet him!?" Sapnap says looking back and Dreams mask. "Uhm. Soon? Subtly? I don't know, how did you meet your soulmate? " Dream says sort of put off by the question. "Haven't yet. Subtly huh? Hmmmm. I COULD INTRODUCE YOU TO HIM!" Sapnap says yelling at him. "Uh- um- O K!" Dream says excitedly, he was  finally going to meet the one he was chasing. "Great! Give me your compass!" Sapnap says. "WHAT!" Dream exclaims "You heard me! Gimme!" Sapnap says reaching for his friends pockets.
"I DIDN'T MEAN NOW!"
"God. Your a party pooper."

"FINE! TAKE IT" Dream yells at Sapnap whilst mindlessly puting his hand in his left pocket, pulling out the glowing compass and giving it to Sapnap. "Thank you." He says, spinning around trying to find the direction of where the needle is pointing. South it read. "Right! C'mon Dream! Let's go meet Prince charming!" Sapnap says running away. "Wait- no! I'm not ready!" Dream calls after Sapnap whilst running up next to him.

Okay the George house fire has NOTHING to do with Dreams family fire! It was just a pure coincidence! This was a shorter chapter I know, but I hope you still liked it!
