"My names Nevada" I answered after I recovered from the blush.
He smirked again, "I know" my eyes snapped up to reach his.
"How?" I demanded.
"Umm I first saw you before the hunt and then I saw that man and he called you Nevada, so I put two and two together" he looked away sheepishly, avoiding my gaze.
"Ok" I said simply.
"So my packs this way" he pointed towards the mountains, and started to walk accordingly.
"James" he turned around, "I need to go home first, pack some clothes, say goodbye, and try to understand all this." even if they weren't my parents I still loved them.
"Ok so what about tonight, when the moon is at its highest" I nodded and and turned away, only to whip around and run into his arms. His touch sent ungodly shocks running through my veins, I almost gasped at the sheer ferocity of it. I had to make myself let go.
"Meet me by the barn" he nodded and touched my face one last time before turning around and disappearing into the forest. I sighed and walked back towards my house, swinging the basket as I walked. Oh shit the berries, I forgot! Oh well.
I thought about what I would pack and how much I would leave behind, but it was worth it, he was worth it

I opened the door and walked in, smelling something good cooking, man I was gonna miss that.
"Nevada honey, is that you?" My mother called from the kitchen, or who I thought was my mother. I walked in the kitchen and stared at her, looking at are similarities. She had dark brown hair like mine but her nose was different than mine and I was more tan. Come to think of it her eyes were blue and mine were a bright purple same with my father. She turned around looking as if she were going to speak again, but instead jumped when she saw me.
"Oh dear you scared me so terribly" she said with her hand on her chest.
"Mom am I adopted?" I questioned bluntly.
"You really shouldn't scare-" she turned around "what did you just say?" She cocked her eyebrow.
"I said, am I adopted?" She slightly flinched when I said 'adopted' and a flicker of guilt flashed across her eyes, with many more emotions. She opened her mouth and shut it again, doing this several more times before walking out of the kitchen mumbling something about talking to my father.
I stared at the doorway that she had disappeared to, only to look away when a pot in the stove started to boil. I walked over and stirred its contents, mainly chicken and some vegetables.
I turned around when I heard footsteps on the hard tile floor. It was my dad, with my mother standing behind him.
"Yes" he simply said with a pained expression.
I nodded my head and walked out the other entrance to the kitchen, and straight to my room. I shut the door behind me and slide to the floor, expecting someone to go after me. When after ten minutes no one showed up, I grabbed a bag and started to pack.
I grabbed all my jeans and shoved them into a faded leather suitcase. I grabbed my favorite shirts and pajamas and put them besides the jeans. I grabbed other things like socks, panties, bras and I might've pack some lingerie, but who knows. I rummaged through some boxes of pictures and grabbed a few, along with a stuffed animal (which happened to be a wolf) I got when I was born.
I zipped up my suitcase and shoved it under my bed so no one would see, then walked out of my room to eat dinner.

Dinner was very quiet, words were only spoken to pass the salt. You could literally feel the tension in the air, and I was not going to be the one to break it, but my mother was.
"Honey I'm sorry we didn't tell you, we didn't think you were old enough" something inside me snapped and I quickly stood up cause my chair to fall behind me.
"I'm 17 years old, I think that's plenty old enough" I growled in a deep voice that didn't seem to be my own.
"Honey I know but-" I snapped my head up to stare directly into her eyes.
"Were you ever going to tell, to let me continue living a lie" I yelled out of frustration. I released my grip on the table cloth, I didn't know I had ahold of and stormed out of the kitchen leaving my half eaten chicken breast.
