Back in Japan Yuta hadn't made the best decisions, it was easy for him to pick fights with just anyone who bothered him really and his parents being wealthy didn't help, while his mom tended to scold him, his dad babied him, and by the time his mom finished her lecture, everything was paid for and Yuta never got into real trouble.

That didn't change completely when he was kicked out, in fact, it almost doubled. Most nights were spent with Yuta stealing from a local convenience store to patch up his wounds.

The moment everything took a turn was when he met Taeyong. Taeyong became one of Yuta's many "victims" (though he thinks the boy put up a decent fight) and Yuta doesn't even remember what caused it, but it was definitely one of his nastiest. Both of them ended up in the emergency room where they, surprisingly, found out they got along.

Yuta and Taeyong had more in common than they thought, turns out Taeyong was also gay, and while he did have his own apartment, his past wasn't so different from Yuta's. Taeyong had been basically living on his own ever since he was 15 and he practically was settled by now. He learned that Taeyong did sex work as a side job because producing music didn't really leave much money yet. Yuta asked him about that business and that's how they started working together.

It was fine at first, Yuta was detached enough he didn't really care for what men did to his body, then he met Ten, one of Taeyong's closest friends. They had chemistry and it was just a matter of time before they started hooking up. That's when Yuta remembered sex was supposed to feel different, it was supposed to feel good, he was supposed to enjoy himself. He didn't stop working immediately after, desperate for money and feeling useless without it, but after Taeyong found him throwing up over a toilet one too many times, feeling disgusting and worthless and used, he found himself a "real job" like Ten liked to call it.

Learning that sex was good with Ten though, didn't mean they were in love, though Yuta thinks he was half way there. Their relationship was messy and Ten really liked to hook up with anything that breathed so Yuta wasn't actually special. They had a nasty fight once over it because reality was, Ten had made it clear from the start, and it was Yuta who misunderstood things. He said words to the younger that were only meant to hurt, and he left, never coming back. Yuta knows he kept in contact with Taeyong, but never him.

He didn't go back to sex work at least, but it wasn't too long until he got himself so high he lost his "real job" too.

He misses Ten, maybe it wasn't real love but he misses how he made him feel.

Nakamoto Yuta

On Tuesday, Yuta does go to Doyoung's and when he gets there his mom makes a joke about Tuesdays with Yuta, he's not sure if it's a reference to Tuesdays with Morrie or not because that book is fucking sad but he likes the joke anyway so he laughs. This time he does accept snacks even if Doyoung again, doesn't.

When they go up to Doyoung's room he asks him to turn around so he can change his shirt, and Yuta does, even if he finds it a bit weird, they're both men and they both have the same parts, besides, it's just a shirt.

They study at first and Yuta tells the younger one how much easier it is to learn from him than Kun, not because Kun isn't smart, but because he's too smart, and he uses words Yuta isn't sure he understands. Doyoung smiles and Yuta guesses he must feel proud of himself. Then he teaches Doyoung a few words in Japanese and the younger is definitely shy about repeating them which is something they'll have to work on but for now, Yuta thinks it's cute.

When it's time to leave he has the grand idea to invite Doyoung over to his house the next day. He even suggests staying over and the younger agrees. On his way back home though, he realizes the house he lives in right now is not only a total mess, but it doesn't belong to him and he hasn't even asked Mr. Choi, so when he gets there that's the first thing he does.
