It was the morning of when Francesca got the call,

Her grandfather passed in his sleep and the last thing he had said was make sure she wins tomorrow,

"Fran you missed breakfast," Max explained as he walked into the room,

"Fran?" He added as he couldn't see her in the living room,

"He's gone," Francesca let out a sob as she brought her legs to her chest,

"Who is?" The Dutchman asked as he cocked his head,

"My grandad," the Scot explained as she looked up at him,

"Let it out," the boy let out a sigh as he wrapped his arms around the girl,

We need to go though," the girl mumbled as she knew that they need to leave,

"I'll let Christian know what we will be late," Max shook his head,

"We?" Francesca asked as she cocked her head,

"I'm not leaving you," the Dutchman explained in a duh tone,

"I just needed a moment," the Scot knew that she would be okay in a few minutes,

"I'll be fine after," she added as he nodded,

"Well I'm staying here until you're fine," Max spoke as the girl stayed quiet meaning that she understood.

After Fran slipped into her suit there was a knock at the door,

"Come in!" Francesca called out as she zipped herself up,

"Are you sure you want to race?" Max asked as he shut the door behind him,

"Yeah," the Scot nodded as she turned to him,

"Why wouldn't I?" She added as she cocked her head,

"Because of what happened this morning," the Dutchman knew that some drivers drove whilst they were mourning the loss of a loved one but they usually had a day or two before the race.

"Look I'm fine," the girl let out a sigh as she threw her hair into a high pony deciding that she would braid it later,

"He knew he was going to go and I had my moment to cry but now I need to to move on," she added with a shrug,

James wouldn't have wanted her to cry the whole day about it,

"Fran-" the boy reached out to grab her hand,

"I'm fine okay," Francesca smiled as she squeezed his hand,

"Don't worry about it," she added knowing that it wouldn't help either of them,

"I just want to focus on the race now," the girl placed a kiss on his lips before she left the room.

It was the moment Francesca had been waiting for,

Despite already lifting the trophy her nerves hadn't settled.

"So should we start off with the fact that you have gone from losing your grandfather to winning at Silverstone all in the span of seven hours?" Somehow Lewis had taken over the interview with the girl,
