"There are some who can harness more than one ability; a very rare phenomena, which we call them the Gifted," Ganasi stood in her classroom, working on an projector shining against an old blackboard trying to get through the last half hour of her magic history lesson. Twenty students aged seventeen and eighteen that didn't seem to pay enough attention to her, the woman had given off an 'hmph' with her mouth seeing a few were on their phones, talking about the newest trend on social media. There were a few students in the front of her class listening. "Most people spend their lives only knowing one skill of magic, having one ability and they say to learn more, can bring on insanity or corruption," Ganasi continued to speak, pacing along the front of the class, a small round device in her hand, with a blue button. Everytime she pressed it, a new slide would appear on the screen. A photo of an African man expelling fire and ice from his palms could be seen while he hovered.
"Ryker Jackson, one of the heroes whom aided Sivakumar in the Dark Year fighting for our freedom, our survival, had multiple abilities, and one of the few able to control it without side affects. Many Universities that deal with harder magic are trying to learn how to control multiple abilities."
One of the students, a young male Australian had raised his hand. "Yes, Mr. Jones?"
"Isn't there a teacher with more then one teaching at this Academy?"
Ganasi didn't answer for a moment. While she would never confess it to the students, she didn't have high faith in the Magic Dual teacher, Sivika. Her main power was fire, and had two others at her disposal, there was something about her that Ganasi felt off-putting, wondering if she was even on their side when it came to the greater good. And the man she was sneaking around with, Jinesh, wasn't quite better, the teacher of Magic Defence. "Mrs Patel?" Ganasi snapped out of her train of thoughts, realising Jones was still waiting for an answer.
"Yes, Sivika who is employed here is one of the few around the world with different abilities.. She is also the heir to Sivakumar," Ganasi went back to explaining placing a gentle smile on her face. "Unfortunately having more than one ability leaves them vulnerable to the Pack, a group of hunters that wish to hunt these people like sports and take their abilities away," Ganasi moved onto the subject. "Many will hide who they are, or straight out never confess to having multiple abilities, in fear of being hunted like a deer, the magic is then either used by the Pack or sold for a very high price down in the Black Market."
Ganasi turned to her class again, once more noting half of the class weren't paying attention, she wished they would take this seriously, they were on their final year before they would graduate from the Academy and be sent out to the wide world before them, and it was a lot more dangerous if you weren't careful.

The class had ended, and Ganasi was less than satisfied with the amount of students that chose to ignore the lesson. There was important information for them to learn and be aware of, she didn't get into the fact no one truly knows if they would be part of the Gifted or not, it could appear much later in life.
The older teacher decided to head into the common dining hall where the students and teachers alike sat and had a main course lunch prepared by the waiters and cooks of the kitchen. The hall was large as a football stadium, sometimes a little too big for Ganasi's taste, the high budget this place had costed made her wonder about those in poorer communities, going to public schools and only having an canteen to order lunch from, and it wasn't anything big. The meals here were enough to make you full until dinner. Different kinds of meats being cooked up and placed together with vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy. Thick round sausages placed on warm hotdog buns and layered with mustard and onions. Fruit bowls were placed out for the many rich students who chose to not even eat that much, something else that always bothered Ganasi, half of these kids didn't even eat most of it, so who was it going to? She knew the school board was behind it, believing that if they made the rich students believe they were getting something in return, the more likely they would be heroes. Ganasi scoffed glancing around the place. Unlikely. They would be far too spoiled and go on doing more, the graduates from previous years were proof enough it didn't always happen. The percentages of students from the expensive academies becoming heroes, were remarkably low.
