This section will explain how you should read the Cursed Children Duology. It is a crossover with my best friend pseudonym-lux, and features her character Dinah Barnes. This will feature a short summary and information on the different books in the series.

SELENA BARNES HOPED THAT LIFE WOULDN'T CHANGE. Although her view of the world had drastically changed since January, she wouldn't trade the past few months for the world. She and her friends were introduced to the world of the supernatural, and they somehow became their town's guardians, although how good could a group of high school students be?
AFTER THE WHOLE KANIMA SITUATION, life seemed to calm down for the rest of the semester. It had been a blissful spring, and was turning out to be an alright summer. Once Selena finished sophomore year with perfect grades, she had a foolproof plan. Spend the whole summer with her best friends and her newer friends and pray that another supernatural crisis doesn't ruin everything. Everything seemed to be going perfectly.
AT LEAST IT WAS BEFORE HER MOTHER GOT A PHONE CALL from their family in Virginia. Her cousin was anything but okay as she relayed the news. Selena had never seen her mother look so frazzled in her life, but once the call ended, she understood why. Your aunt and uncle are dead, her mother explained, we're leaving now, so pack your things. Suddenly the world seemed to shake, and Selena couldn't take it. She cried over the loss of her aunt and uncle, not missing the concerning looks her parents shared.
LITTLE DID SELENA KNOW that her family was hiding a secret from her, one that could end her life before it truly ever began.

DINAH BARNES' PARENTS WERE MURDERED. They were murdered and their bodies left in the town square of Mystic Falls for everyone to see. And despite knowing about the supernatural, knowing that the Sheriff knows about the supernatural and having friends that were vampires, werewolves and witches, no one can figure out who killed Thalia and Everett Barnes. There was no evidence, no witnesses, nothing. Two people murdered in the middle of town and no one could figure it out.
LUCKILY FOR DINAH, HER AUNT, UNCLEL AND COUSIN from California were already coming to town for her seventeenth birthday. After the funeral, she is officially under the guardianship of her Aunt Lucy and Uncle Steven, and is set to live with them and her cousin Selena back home in Beacon Hills. Then Dinah celebrates her seventeenth birthday without her parents for the first time in a new town. Not even the numerous messages from her friends can make her smile.
NOW ENROLLED AT BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL, Dinah is to start her junior year and she's hoping that she can finally leave the supernatural behind. She still has her magic to take comfort in and her cousin, who does her best to always lift her mood and even introduces her to all of her friends that don't seem to have a bad bone in their bodies and make Dinah feel welcome without even trying.
BUT ALL IS NOT AS WELL AS IT SEEMS. On the day before the first day of school, Stefan Salvatore shows up on her doorstep. To talk, he says, and catch up. But all that Dinah sees when she looks at Stefan is memories of Mystic Falls and that just leads her to thoughts of her parents. She closes the door on him, telling him that he shouldn't even be this far away from home the day before school is to start. Dinah doesn't notice that he's a little too urgent in the way he's speaking, she doesn't see her cousin and friends active weird and she definitely doesn't see the rest of her friends in town.
THEN ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE IN BEACON HILLS and Dinah does start to notice her cousin and friends acting weird. Now Dinah has to face the truth that she can't ever leave the supernatural behind, not just because she herself is supernatural, but because her parents' deaths weren't all they seemed. A curse is hanging over the Barnes family and it has its eyes locked on Dinah and Selena.
