This section will explain how you should read the Monsters & Myths Saga. It is a crossover with my best friends pseudonym-lux and dunbonnet, and features their characters Luciana McCall and Maris Navarro. This will feature a short summary and information on the different books in the series.

Creature of the Night
VANESSA RILEY LIVED AN ORDINARY LIFE. She lived in a normal house with normal parents. Her mother was a teacher at the private high school in town and her father worked for a large company. If anyone was the definition of normal, it was Vanessa Riley.
THE MOST ABNORMAL PART OF HER LIFE WAS HER SOCIAL STATUS AT SCHOOL. She was popular and smart, although not many people cared enough to get to know her. She had a handful of friends who she got along with, but other than them, everyone else believed that she was just a dumb blonde. Sure, she was also captain of the cheerleading team, but that didn't help her image.
SO SHE WOULD SIMPLY SMILE AND SHRUG HER SHOULDERS. She would ignore the obvious conversations between the boys in her grade about what she must be like in bed, especially when her so called friend wouldn't stop the conversations. It didn't take a genius to notice how some of her friends, specifically Jackson, didn't care about anything other than popularity. Vanessa may not care to admit it, but there were days where she wondered if being popular was really worth everything she put up with.
IT WAS A NO BRAINER FOR VANESSA. She took her advice from Mean Girls, and had decided that she would rather be "in the plastics and hating life rather than not being in at all." So that's the way she lived, although she wouldn't say that she hated her life. At least, she didn't hate her life when it was normal, but all that was going to change in a snap.

NOTHING INTERESTING EVER HAPPENED IN BEACON HILLS. That was always the motto of Luciana McCall, her twin brother Scott and their best friend Stiles. They lived in what was probably one of the most boring towns in the world, only getting excitement out of watching fights during lacrosse games and the drama created by some of their classmates.
THAT ALL CHANGED WHEN HER BROTHER went into the woods with Stiles looking for half of a dead body. After winding up lost and alone in the woods, Scott gets bitten by a werewolf. That one simple accident changes their lives forever, throwing them into chaos with Alpha wolves and hunters.
AND SOMEHOW, THAT'S NOT ALL THAT'S GOING ON in their once boring town. For the first time in their lives, Scott and Luci have problems that don't intersect. Now Luci has to solve her problems with the help of friend Isaac Lahey while also somehow managing to keep her idiot brother and friend out of too much trouble as well.

It wasn't easy being the daughter of two openly gay men and their female best friend slash surrogate mother, for not everyone is as open to other sexualities as most. The family had to endure stares cast their way when out in public but never once had they stared back, always keeping their eyes on each other, proud of their family. Not many people have one parent, let alone three. She was lucky to have both her fathers and mother in her life.
Maris found it also wasn't easy attending a fancy prep school like Devenford. She always had to keep her grades up, volunteer in the library and attend choir practice, all while breaking records as Captain of the Swim Team. (Not to mention the school halls were always cluttered with the upperclass, snotty kids she loathed entirely.) It seemed the girl was always being pulled in every direction, and maybe that's why she finally just snapped.
One thing led to another, and when it all came down to protecting her best friend, Maris Navarro found herself expelled from Devenford Prep.
When winter break came to an end, the girl had to find a new school and, unfortunately, her parents had chosen Beacon Hills. Her former rival school. The school Maris always eliminated at swim tournaments. And she absolutely hated it. She hated Beacon Hills High and she hated that she got expelled. But if Maris was handed a mulligan, the girl knew that despite hating what happened and what became of her life that she would do it all over to protect her best friend, Lorelei Barnes, again.
After a while, Maris Navarro discovered that maybe, just maybe, Beacon Hills wasn't too terrible, after all. The place and the people were beginning to grow on her. But during a swim practice, something happened that changed her life forever, and suddenly, the girl realized that life is about to get a lot more difficult when you're a TEENAGE SIREN.
