Hi! This is my very first time writing my own story! Please leave comments so I can make my writing better. I'm not sure if I should leave the writing style as it is, or change into Noelle's POV. (Example: it'll say I said, instead of Noelle said. "I love pizza!" I shouted happily. Instead of "I love pizza!" Noelle shouted happily.) So leave comments and tell me what I should do. Thanks! :) -Mikayla xx
When Noelle reached a small park, she stopped the car and got out. there were a few swings and a little slide. Elle walked to a small, worn down bench and sat. Sighing, she pulled out her phone and rung Sage.
Calling Sage Nicole Ruiz, her screen said. It rung three times before her best friend answered.
"Helloooo," she sang.
"I cannot wait for school to be out already," Elle rushed out. "Daniel is such a prick. I just left school. I couldn't take it. "
"Noelle, it's Friday. You couldn't have just stayed at school today? And I'm pretty sure I heard you say you had a test today. Why aren't you in school right now anyways?" she questioned.
"I kind of didn't feel like going," Elle muttered.
"How have you not been kicked out yet? It's like the 12th time you've skipped!" Sage laughed.
Elle did skip sometimes, but she didn't make a habit out of it. She knew it was wrong but sometimes she just needed to get away - today being one of those days.
"Please go back to school Noelle." Sage pleaded her.
"You're so lucky you've graduated. I hate school so much."
"Real life sucks babe," Sage said.
"Alright. I'm going to find my way back to school. I don't even know where I am," Elle laughed.
"Be careful. Love you," she replied.
"Love you too, bye," Noelle said.
After she hung up and slipped her phone into her pocket, Elle remembered she has no idea where she was. Elle started the car and turned on her GPS. She check-pointed the school and turned on the stereo and her new Lana Del Rey CD began playing. She turned it to track 12, "This Is What Makes Us Girls." It was her favorite song at the moment. Lana was one of her favorite singers, besides Ed Sheeran and One Direction. She liked a lot of music but they were the only artists that made her love in love with all of their songs.
Noelle pulled up to her school, found a parking spot, and stopped the car.
"Late again, Elle," her 3rd period teacher stated. "We're on page 232."
~~ After all of Elle's classes, she fast-walked to her locker, said goodbye to a couple of friends and walked to her car. she picked up her brother and dropped him off at their house. Noelle put her bag in her room a changed into yoga pants and loose t-shirt. She grabbed an iced tea from the fridge, grabbed her phone, and wrote a note for her mother who was currently at work. Then Noelle started the drive to Sage's apartment. Sage rented an apartment after high school an is planning on starting college next year. When she parked her car, the door to Sage's apartment was wide open. Noelle walked into the two bedroom apartment and cautiously looked around.
"Ruiz?" she asked as she walked into the kitchen. "What are you doing?"
"Cooking babe! It's almost done."
"Haha, I can't wait," Elle giggled.
"So how was school?" Sage asked.
"Ughhhh. Don't remind me. I have a fifty page essay to turn into the principal by MONDAY because the office lady watched me run out this morning. Plus I have finals next week. I'm just so done ugh," Noelle groaned.
"Well you only have two weeks left. And if finals are next week, do you even have to go to school the last week?" Sage questioned.
Elle thought about it. "I guess not," she replied. "screw school," she laughed.
"You know, you seem to hate school. How are you so good at it?"
"Beats me."
"What are you gonna do? Like after school you know?"
"I'm thinking something fashion related. Like a stylist for someone famous. Something glamorous." Elle replied.
"Always dreaming big Ellie. That's what I love about ya," Sage said with a smile.
"I don't want to do something I don't like. I love fashion and beautify and makeup. It's what makes me happy. What about you?" Noelle asked.
"I don't know. I don't even know what I want to major in in college. Maybe teaching? It sounds fun. And I like kids," Sage said.
"Whatever you do, just promise me we'll always be friends?" Noelle asked, feeling like a child.
"We will ALWAYS be friends," Sage promised. "No matter what. Now come eat."
"What are we having?" Elle asked.
"Chicken fettuccine!" Sage announced happily.
"Yay!" Elle exclaimed.
