Lost and found

Chapter five

I watched as May fought daisy. May was overpowering her significantly.

I was in pain and my face was pale now daisy then shot May backwards with her power and I shouted at her to stand down using my power.

Once she left I shuffled my body over to May who was sitting up she shot awake when she saw me and ran over picking me up Into her arms and limping away.

We were on the Quinnjet I was laid on a stretcher Simmons was trying to assess the injury.

As soon as we landed I was rushed into the medical bay and Simmons began her work she slowly removed the knife and I screamed clutching mays hand in pain.

Everything hurt. As they were trying to stop the bleeding and stitching up the injury.

Now it felt like a dull aching pain...I was placed into a room in the med bay.

Soon I was sleeping my breathing calm and the slow and normal rhythm. I felt a person holding my hands one felt more masculine than the other.

I slowly opened my eyes and groaned at the light that was on above my head...I felt someone let go of my hand and the lights dimmed the feeling of a hand soon came back.

I opened my eyes grunting as I tried to sit up I felt a hand push me back down

"Don't you'll rupture your stitches" I heard the voice of May. I looked to my left to see her sat on a chair holding my hand tight. She looked concerned and happy I was awake.

I looked to my right and saw Andrew who had the same facial expressions as may. I sighed as I laid my head into the pillow taking a deep breath.

My head really hurt and I think they noticed this because Andrew handed me a cup of water and two headache pills.

I took them with ease and closed my eyes once again.

"What happened?" I asked my voice hoarse.

"Jiaying stabbed you and I brought you home Simmons managed to heal you"

Soon the others walked into the room.

"Nova would you like some pain meds?" Simmons smiled about to inject me but I slapped it away

"No I hate pain meds" I said with a scowl on my face.

"Exactly like your mother the facial expression just makes it top notch" Coulson smiled and May rolled her eyes.

I laughed airily as I laid back down and Simmons moved away the pain meds

Everyone had a conversation and eventually everyone left including Andrew so I was left with May who refused to leave my side.

"It hurts" I told her finally her head snapped back to reality and her face softened.

She began stroking my hair "I know but just a little longer and you'll be okay"

"Mummy?" I said in a quite voice laced with the pain I felt.

She smiled "yeah?"

"Will you stay with me?"

"Of course I will I'll be right here when you wake up"

I moved over in the bed and patted it she took off her jacket placing it over me before climbing in next to me I placed my head on her chest her jacket filled with her calming scent.

She was silently stroking my hair and eventually I felt a small kiss on the crown of my head before I fell into a deep slumber.

I woke up hours later to hushed whispers

"She seems to be warming upto you" Coulson told her. She was still stroking my hair.

"Yeah she called me mum Phil, that's when it finally sunk in that I have my baby back"

I stirred a little more burying myself into the jacket taking in its warm scent.

I could practically hear them smile.

"Daisy said she had frequent nightmares it seems you comfort her"

"I'm glad...I feel myself again before I lost her..happy Phil for once I feel happiness"

"I'm glad she's home and I can tell you are, you deserve it may I'll leave before we end up waking her she needs her rest" 

The next time I woke up it was light outside I moved looking at my mother she was asleep.

I saw some Leggings and a long top siting there so I snuck out the bed changing into them then I put my trainers on I finished by putting on my mothers jacket as it made me feel safe.

My hair in a ponytail my clothes on I looked normal until you saw my trainers and....agent mays jacket?

I knew I shouldn't be out of bed but.....inhuman healing am I right.

I wrapped my mothers jacket tighter around me and walked until I found the kitchen.

I looked in the cupboards and smiled when I found what I needed Pancake mix

I was nearly done making them while humming a tune when I heard footsteps walk no run into the kitchen. I turned to see Coulson and my mother.

"Morning" I smiled "pancakes?" I said holding up the pan as I looked over the stove once more.

"You scared me I thought you were gone again and I was just dreaming" she told me

"Oh I'm sorry I was just hungry....I didn't think usually when food is on my mind it's the only thing"

I placed the pancakes on three plates topped them with syrup and a drizzle of icing sugar.

I placed their plates down on the table and they sat down. I sat at the end of the table while they say either side.

"You know when I was in afterlife people would wake me up at godly hours just to make these we called them pancake party's"

"You cook a lot?" Coulson asked me

"Yeah I also bake it's the way I let out my anger and frustration"

"How did you sleep?" My mother asked me

"Good for once" I smiled "now eat your pancakes before they go cold"

They looked at each other before eating them.

"Oh you weren't kidding you make good pancakes" Coulson smiled

"It's always been easy around a stove"

"Well that's one difference from your mother" my mum scowled and hit him over the head I just laughed and shook my Head

I was finally happy here
