Lost and found

Chapter one

Afterlife
I woke with a start after the horrific nightmare that has plagued my sleep. I looked over at my clock it was three in the morning I sighed and hopped out of my bed ready to start the day early.......again

I got dressed and did my hair and I walked outside the room into the empty streets of afterlife. I liked it here after all this place had always been my home.

I smiled as I touched one of the cherry blossoms on the tree. I heard some footsteps behind me so out of instinct I spun around and got into a fighting stance. I relaxed to only see Jiaying.

"Sorry didn't mean to do that you just gave me a fright" I smiled as she took a seat next to me.

"It's quite alright I should have made myself known. Why are you up so early again?" She asked in concern.

I sighed as I looked at her "just the nightmares at hydra there coming back and there worse than last time"

She sighed and put her hand on my shoulder "well why don't we go see if one of our medical team has anything to help you sleep"

"Maybe for the next time I sleep but I'm up now might as well get some yoga and training in while I can" Jiaying smiled

Ever since I had been through the mist all those years ago I had found yoga to be quite calming. So I headed to the food hall and then straight to the training room.

I went through my routines and by the time I had finished it was light outside I looked at the clock it was seven.

Sighing and rolling up my mat I smiled at people passing me as I walked to the showers.

I was dressed again and in my room I looked at the picture of me when I was young the only thing missing was my parents.

I knew they were out there somewhere and I was thankful for Jiaying taking me in and looking after me all these years even when she was looking for her own daughter.

Knowing how much Jiaying was looking I wondered if my mother was doing the same. How I wished I had a mother to stay by my side and comfort me after the nightmares and a father to scare away the monsters.

I wiped a stray tear away from my eye and sighed i would find them some day..... no matter what it took.

I was just sat there when a knock sounded on my door so I finished wiping the tears and opened it putting on a smile.

It widened when I saw my friend Zara she was a tall girl with long ginger hair she had the power of invisibility

"Hey Z, i thought you would be sleeping" I smiled as she stood there

"No Nova i have some news can I come in" she smiled.

I nodded and opened the door wider for her to walk in her hair in a ponytail bounced behind her.

"I found some things about your parents like you asked" she told me and I shook my head and sighed

"Zara not the time for jokes" I crossed my arms and she shook her head

"I'm not joking I'm serious I found out your mother works for S.H.E.I.L.D. And is looking for you I hacked into their server and saw all the missing files"

"So why did they give me up to HYDRA and let me suffer through all that torture!" I was agitated now

"I don't know N but that's all I know." She said as she skipped out of my room and down the hall I rubbed my hand down my face and groaned as I shut the door.

I then got word from Gordon that Jiaying had found cal so I was sent to retrieve him while I look at the other people there and see if I could find her daisy.
