Once in a small quiet town there lived a happy little family a loving , a caring mother, a mysterious yet calm father and their energetic three year old daughter Emily!
Emily was the BEST thing that had ever happened to her mother she filled her days with love and happiness when Eve was with Emily, but her father had some mixed feelings for he wished for a son NOT a daughter but as the days went by he treated her like any other child for she was still his own.
But that happiness was not to last...A dark cloud rain over the family's house like a shadow summoning darkness into Eve's life.
But before long a terrible battle happened between the parents Eve clinging to her husband begging him not to leave..Ben a rogue husband has no place in a small town like New Bark.
Her parents fought ALMOST every night.
It made Emily think if she's the reason why they argued so much. Then one night right before Emily head touched her soft fluffy flaffy pillow she heard her parents arguing downstairs.
"Eve I can't live like this anymore!" Ben yelled at his wife.
"And why not? Ben she's your daughter she still needs you!" Eve shouted back with tears flying from her eyes.
"No! She doesn't!" As if he knew something that his own wife didn't.
"Why won't you listen to what I'm saying Ben?" Eve pleads
"Because there's nothing to listen to anymore. She'll be safe with you, I must leave this crummy little town." He says with a growl in his voice
"Ugh fine I'm done with you! If you want to leave I'm not stopping you!" The crying mother had enough arguing with her husband."Unless there's something that you're not telling me!" She snaps at him with tears flying from her eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Ben says so secretively.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about!" Eve shouts back at him
"You care more about your other daughter don't you?"
"How...How'd you know about Leaf?" He says with a surprised voice
"I'm not telling you?" Eve said with a growl in her voiceBack and forth the argument kept going
Then "Eve.. I am really sorry about this."Her husband kisses his wife on the cheek as a goodbye & slowly walks up the stairs to say good night to his little girl.
"I don't know if I should.."
A few knocks quite gently softly on the child's door no answer
"Emily? Sweetie?" Whispers her fatherHe sits on the foot of her bed and he sees that the sheets are pulled cover a familiar shape.
"What's this? Could this be my tickle bug?"
Making his way up her Typhlosion shaped bed just to give her a quick tickle that always worked to cheer her up but...
"No!..go away!" yells the childEmily's father pulls back the covers just a bit
"Why are you hiding?"He asks with a curious voice
Peeking out from underneath her covers the little girl finally gives her father the reason why she's hiding
"You and mommy were fighting again.." The three year old says sadlyKnowing that she could hear every word that was going on but didn't fully understand them,Ben had to tell a little white lie to his own daughter
"Oh I see. Well we were having disagreement about somethings." He gently tells her
"Disagreenent? Papa what's that mean?"
Ben gently strokes her hair as gentle as can be
"I'll tell you when you're older.""I'm not sure if I'm meant for this place."
He holds out a red and white ball
"This is a Pokéball and in here contains a very special Pokémon just for you."
Her father holds a bright shiny Pokéball
"Now when you're the right age you'll be able to go to different places."
Her eyes widen as her father speaks
"Will you be there?" She curiously asks
While he sulks his smile turns to an upset
lost face "No I.. I won't"The young girl doesn't fully understand what's happening or going on
As he kisses her on the forehead and tucks her in completely with her chikorita stuffy
He knows deep down that he's doing the right thing for only himselfOnce Eve and Emily were both asleep he quietly sneaks into the little girls bedroom and places a goodbye note underneath her new Pokéball
"My dearest daughter Emily , I have yet but only one choice left and that is to leave Johto and Journey to a new region. I'm sorry about this I never wanted to hurt you, be brave my girl be strong like your mother. I love you
Take care of your future Pokémon.
From... your Father."He left it on her bedside table where her sunkirn lamp is so she could be able to read it in the morning. Emily's father slowly closed her door halfway as he whispered "goodbye...my girl."
Then he disappeared like a thief in the nightHer happy little life was not to last forever, she wished that her parents would live happily ever after but..they weren't meant to be.
Once the morning came Eve knew what had happened. Her unfaithful husband had left her with their innocent child! All alone it seemed but Eve would need help raising her daughter
As the years went by Emily grew out of her fantasies and into realistic things but not having a father around anymore to guide her, the Professor was like a father to Emily he taught her different things in the lab and she loved it.
By the time Emily was 10 years old it was the age for her to go ahead and travel the region of Johto but she didn't want to for she felt safe with her mother and the Professor that stepped in to help raise her like a real father even though he was just helping Eve out.
Still Emily wondered sometimes upstairs in her room all alone of what drove her father to leave.
"Was it me?" She'd ask herself
"Did I do something wrong?""You didn't do anything wrong Emily." Her mother said as she came up the stairs.
Her mother would eavesdrop on Emily questioning herself and that broke Eve's heart for she knew why Ben had left.
Over the years Professor Elm helped raise Emily like she were his own.
"Cool! Hey Professor? One day I'm gonna travel all over to become the worlds best trainer!" The young girl spoke with energy
Elm looked at the girl that he helped raise.
"I'm sure you will become a very true hearted trainer Emily." Says the soft Professor.Even though she lost her real father and gained a step father to her Elm was not just a father but her role model as well.
Everyday she'd run into his lab and appear before Elm.
He loved her so much that he even took the fire type out of the Pokémon choosing tomorrow. Eve thought it was best if someone else chose Cydaquil for Emily was not yet ten.
