dream swung his hand down lazily, flicking a cigarette that was formerly between his teeth onto the cold, metal balcony floor.
he eyed george thoughtfully, flicking a blonde curl from his bloodshot eyes.
"alright come on then."
the smaller boy looked up, confusion clouding his gaze as he tilted his head to the side slightly.
"how? are you gonna let me in or throw me a key or something.of course if you don't want to then i'll just stay down here, i don't wanna be an imposition."
dream gritted his teeth.
"just stop fucking talking."
he could hear gorge whimper slightly as he leaned forward more, surveying the british boys smaller frame and sticklike arms.
"climb up the tree."
george's eyes widened, catlike in the density of the manhattan night.
"b-but i'm not strong enough,"
"oh don't be silly. even a child could climb that." dream scowled.
he had a short patience and this conversation was certainly testing it, quickly draining his self-restraint of yelling at george. although he liked him, dream wasn't gonna treat him better than anyone else and that meant scolding the man if he didn't hurry up.
george muttered something to himself and after blowing into his hands like the wrestlers in corny movies he'd watched at the cinemax down the road as a teenager, began to haul himself up the tree with the gracefulness of a toddler.
dream giggled and took a puff of his cigarette, leaning back to let the wind ruffle his curls.
