Chapter 11: Being a Target

The rest of the weekend flew by, and Yukio did absolutely nothing. When it was time to go back to school, he was both happy and nervous. He would get to see the girls again, and they'll have to tell him what they did for training, but he didn't know how to explain that he knew that they were attacked during the trip.

Should I test it? Am I unable to talk about both of my abilities or just my Death's Restart ability? Screw it, I'll have to explain it to them somehow, revealing my ability will be the 'last resort'.

With that in mind, he went to school. As soon as he arrived, he went straight to the old building, and into the secret classroom. He saw everyone there, acting completely normal.

"Uh...hello?" Yukio got everyone's attention.

Everyone said good morning to him, but Yukio found their normality strange.

They got attacked during a vacation, but they are acting like it never happened. They must be trying to act calm in front of me, right?

"So how was the vacation?" Yukio asked, wondering if anyone would tell him about the surprise attack.

Asuka was the first to reply. "It was so much fun. The beach there was so beautiful, we spent a lot of our free time there."

Katsuragi added into the conversation. "Yeah, everyone was wearing bikinis and swimsuits. It was a boob paradise for me, you would've loved it, Yukio."

"N-No thanks, I would have been fine not knowing that at all." Yukio replied, embarrassed.

"Did you spend your weekend all by yourself, Yukio?" Ikaruga asked.

"Bullseye." Yukio simply answered.

"That's just depressing." Yagyu replied. "I'd spend my weekends with Hibari at least."

I get it, you care for Hibari far too much.

"Anyway, what else happened aside from your beach time?" Yukio asked.

"Oh, w-well, you know...the basic stuff you do on an island." Katsuragi stammered.

"I-I see..." Yukio responded.

I think the attack did affect them in some way. I guess they're not going to talk to me about it. Should I just...you know what, I'm just going to say it!

"Did you girls happen to...uh...get attacked while you were there?" Yukio said, he was surprised that he was able to talk about it.

"Huh?! How the hell do you know that?" Katsuragi questioned Yukio, she was a little freaked out.

"W-Well, I guess I was kind of there, in spirit." Yukio responded.

"Spirit? Wait, does that mean what I think it means?" Hibari asked.

"Huh?" Everyone was a bit confused by Hibari's question.

"Wait, what are you talking about, Hibari?" Yukio asked.

"At the island, I felt something go in and out of me. Like a ghost or a spirit." Hibari replied.

"Wait, when did you feel that exactly?" Yukio asked.

"U-Um...I felt it when I was staring in the river, and I felt it again when me and Yagyu left the river." Hibari replied.

Those were the times when I entered and exited her body.

"Hmm...so that means that you were able to sense me or something?" Yukio wondered.

"Wait, what is even going on here?!" Katsu exclaimed.
