I watch the water run down the stream, I hear the trickling of the splash as it flows over the small waterfall. I close my eyes and imagine my light blues and dark greens painting the image in my mind. I paint it over and over again, until I notice it's growing dark.
I throw my hood over my soft blonde hair and run through the path I have just recently memorized, and run back to my house. When I enter the back doors, I hear my mom yell my name. "Taylor Anne!" My mom screeches, causing me to jump.
"What?" I answer back calmly, opening a bottle of water and throwing my feet on the table.
She walks over to me & shoves my feet off of the table.
"Tate. We're in a new town that I don't know, you really need to stop running off like that. I don't know where you are, and it worries me."
"Chill, mom. I'm fine. Just on a walk INSIDE the backyard."
"Oh well that tells me a lot, seeing the 40 acres of forest we have." She states sarcastically, rolling her eyes so big I could've sworn I felt the ground shake.
"Sorry, okay? I swear it won't happen again!" I yell, running upstairs to paint the scene I had seen not 15 minutes before.
"That's what you said last time!" I hear her voice getting softer and softer the further up the stairs I get.
