Dennis shuts the door behind her as he turns around

Davia looks up at him as she takes a breath

DENNIS
Look Davia, I know how you must be feeling-

DAVIA
You have no idea how i feel Dennis, at all...sit down, im talking this time

Dennis frowns as he sits down on the edge of his bed

DAVIA
Part of me wants to scream at you, and tell you that you're an asshole, part of me wants to smack you for being so damn inconsiderate....and the other part..

Dennis looks up at her hopeful

DENNIS
What..what about the other part?

Davia sighs as she sits down on the stoll in front of him

DAVIA
And the other part of me wants to hug you and talk to you and..and pick up where we left off

Dennis nods lightly as he watches her

DENNIS

DAVIA
(Sighs)
But...you really hurt me and I can't forget how you made feel leaving the way you did and how-

DENNIS
Matt makes you feel

Davia looks at him sadly

DAVIA
I dont know how he makes me feel..you two are different...but im not in love with him if thats what you're thinking

DENNIS

Davia nods as she takes a deep breath

DENNIS
I screwed up...big time and I know that i...I lost what we had

Davia nods lightly

DENNIS
seeing you with Matt...hurt obviously, but I brought it on myself and I did tell you not to wait

Davia frowns as she feels this is goodbye

Dennis takes a deep breath slowly

DENNIS
So...whatever you want to do..I'll do it, if that means picking up where we left, great, I'll kiss you right now and never hurt you again...or if that means avoiding each other and losing you as my best friend...then thats what I get...I just hope that Matt treats you better than I did and that you're happy with him

Davia pauses for a moment as she processes Dennis request

DAVIA
I don't...I don't know what I want

DENNIS
(Quitely)

DAVIA
I dont think I can just forgive and forget...but I also don't want to avoid you...I still love you Dennis

DENNIS
(Quickly)

Davia smiles lightly at how eager he is

DAVIA
But I cant be with you right now

DENNIS
(Frowns)
I understand...like I said I just hope he treats better

DAVIA
No, im not picking him either...I need to figure things out and I'm not going to string him along...

but he is my friend and I work with him and im going to see him or hang out with him, so..you may see him too
