A Normal Life

A/N HEY so I decided to make this it's own book because it's very different from other things I've written. This took 2 weeks to make so I hope you enjoy. I got my friend to approve it first before posting it. I should be back in my oneshot book next time. ON TO THE STORY :D

Backstory: It's a Minecraft IRL story. The Dream SMP is known to the world but it's kind of separated where people generally know what's going on but some people in it choose to stay anonymous. The info also isn't 100% accurate as people think Dream is amazing and nice and they don't know majorities identities. You'll figure out who they know and don't throughout. IDK all the lore so might be wrong on some details bare with me. Also might change some to make the story make sense. (tell me if this makes any sense)

Tommy had been in exile for months. There had been no visits for weeks. Not Ranboo, not Dream, no one. He couldn't handle being alone anymore. He thought Dream forgot about him. One night after he had enough of sitting alone, he packed everything up. Looking back at the campsite he had spent so long sitting in, he walked off til sunrise further from the SMP.

Tommy found a modern town after hours of walking and decided to stop there. He went to a patch of woods on the edges of town and set up a camp. He got everything he needed (idk what he needs) which took a day. Stretching for a final time, he closed his eyes and fully rested his body for the first time in a long while.

Tommy signed himself up for school to fit into town more and seem normal (American because IDK how a British school works). He started his first day, which was the middle of the year for everyone else. During the first class, he sat next to two boys. One named James, who was tall with brown curly hair and olive green eyes. The other was named Zack, with spiked-up red hair and deep brown eyes. The three talked all class and decided they would spend their time together.

As the day went on the boys continued talking and hanging out. The blond touched the compass in his pocket in comfort throughout the day, pulling it out to look at the words Your Tubbo engraved on the side. One of these times, his new friends walked behind him and asked what it was. This resulted in Tommy whipping his head around so fast they're surprised he didn't get whiplash. He raised his hands ready for a fight for a second before realizing who it was and shoving the compass deep into his pocket. He tried to play it off as nothing and while James and Zack didn't believe him, they didn't ask again.

Later in the day, James came to speak to Tommy. "Hey man, I noticed earlier it looked like you were gonna throw a punch. You okay?" He knew it might be a little invasive but he needed to make sure his new friend was good. Zack had joined their group when Tommy answered.
"Yeah, dude, just my brothers messing with me makes me ready I guess," he lied through his teeth. He couldn't have them know the real reason he was so jumpy.

Now we go a few months later

Tommy still goes to the school in town. He has been careful enough to not let anyone know he actually sleeps in the woods just on the edge of town. Whenever his friends wanted to come over he came up with a reason they couldn't or should go somewhere else. He started hiding weapons on his person ready for any situation he might find himself in. Everything people thought they knew about him was a lie basically. It's not that he wanted that to be true, it's just that he never wanted to share his past with anyone there.

After school, he has been training with his weapons. Over time he has gotten much better with both ranged and melee weapons as well as duels. His friends have caught onto a few things. Like the fact, he's paranoid or that no one is allowed to touch his compass. They don't know why either of these are true, just that they are.
