PoV: Blaze

  I was scared. I knew nothing of Sonic's skills, only that Rouge was training him. He had been put into his first battle with no experience and no information about his opponent. I'm sorry Sonic. I got you ready as best I could... I could only hope the sol stones could offer him some protection. Please, just survive until the battle ends.
  
  
PoV: Amy

  My source of information never doubted me. Infinite had known Sonic for years because they lived in the castle together. He wasn't one to lie to me. He predicted Sonic would want to protect Blaze. He could only do so as a knight, assasin, or by becoming a vigilante like Robin hood. And since he had no former training, a knight was his best option.

  I ordered all of my soldiers.to avoid killing him at all costs incase Blaze selected him first. Knuckle's job is to knock him unconscious.

  A rule of a queens duel was my best chance, if the losing soldier is not killed, they must be forced to obey the winning kingdom and join their ranks. Knuckles had never lost a battle, I'd have Sonic at any moment now.
  
  
PoV: Sonic

"Woah!" I dodged and dodged and dodged. I hadn't had time to adjust to my new sword, yet I was holding it desperately to fight. He's too powerful... His brute strength is enough to kill me. I need to think. How can I win?

"You're putting up a good fight, but I'm ending this," he swung his fist and dropped his sword.

"Ah!" I dodged, but not without the blade on his knuckles causing a gash in my side, "Damn it..."

  I'm injured... I need to think, I can't focus on the pain right now. It was nothing like the pain of being beaten with a thorned whip. And nothing like holding the hot blade of a sword.

  I have speed, that's right. I don't need to over power him... I backed away and kept my sword at the ready, I can out maneuver him!

  I took a running start and slid under him, sweeping below his fist. The second I was past him I got up and spind my sword against the back of his armor, throwing him off his balance. I couldn't break his armor, but it was heavy and bulky unlike mine.

  I placed a knee on his back to pin him and held the sword at his neck, "I win..."

  I panted, but I had endured my victory.

"You weigh nothing," he pushed me off him and grabbed me by the throat.

"Le... go..." I couldn't breathe. He was removed his chest and back plate to get up. He was crushing my wrist to keep me from using the sword.

"That's enough!"

  All I felt was heat as I could finally gasped for air. Blaze had stopped the fight... No... Blaze... I didn't want you to fight.

PoV: Blaze

  I had no choice but to forfeit the match. I couldn't have Sonic any closer to death than he was.

"We do the final battle now!" I snapped and had nurses bandaged Sonic immediately. I sat him on my throne.

"Blaze don't," he grabbed me, "I don't want you to get hurt..."

"Don't worry about me. I'll handle this.  When we go home tonight, I will change the law and fix everything. Just wait here... and call me darling...," I kissed him and walked out for the square.

"This is the final battle, I hope you understand what you're losing," Amy grabbed her hammer and stood in the square, "I'll have you both soon."

"I will not have my precious kingdom lost to a spoiled brat," I kept my sword at ready.

  Bang! The drum signalled the beginning of the battle.

  I will not lose my kingdom, my people, or my lover to her.

  I will protect with everything I have.

"I call upon the sol stones... please give me the strength to fight and protect my kingdom."
