Bio: Alister James Merchant was once amongst the living back in the 1970's. His life took a turn when he was at a party, meeting with a businessman and his wife who had took interest in him and his comedy performances.
They lured him out of the party to meet up at the man's place. Only to be overrun and turned into one of their own. What he lost in humanity, he had regained in a sense of power, bloody euphoric power.
He grew bitter of having such a weak position, believing that he was fit for something more greater than what his power was wasted on.
The past vampire king threw him back into the place he was assigned every single time he tried ti convince him of needing a better position.
Eventually, his bitter resentment grew towards the king, he saw his system as a system that only benefited the aristocrats of his coven, all the other children of the night were thrown to the wayside as mere drones.
He separated himself from the coven, looking for more power to take over. He got his hands and as much of the most darkest, most forbidden magic he could find to suit his needs.
He built his own army from those he had seen suffering horrid fates within his town, all of whom grateful for the "gift" he gave them, calling him "father."
His army grew and soon, he overthrew the king, gaining more control of the power he held. He would send his vermin pets into the world to watch over humans, picking those who were in suffering and bringing them into his coven.
All those who were brought in had the remains of their humanity trapped within different places, all linked to which child used to have which soul.
His plans have so far been foiled by Addison Gale, a 12 year old human girl who was his 28th target to capture, who managed to look through the "happy wonderland" of his kingdom and saw the nightmare brought to life it truly was, taking the souls of three ghosts who were trapped within their soulless, vampire corpses.
Trivia: • Okay, let's be real here, he's blatantly Stephen Merchant as a vampire. He started off as a character made to poke fun at one of Vivziepop's characters and then I started to like the idea because Smerch looks like a vampire (he's got pasty skin, that serial killer look that comes from his weird smiles and bulgy eyes, and he's overtly tall, you can make a vampire movie with this guy.) • His coattails become his wings when he transforms into a bat. • A lot of his inspiration is the Beldam (Coraline), some of Hal 9000's Intellect and love of Chess (Space Odyssey 2001), Eliza (Skullgirls) and some of Steve Merchant's sass and class.
