Dream didn't end up waking up until midday. His back ached terribly from sleeping on the cave floor, each little pebble feeling like is was just scraping into his back. It wasn't pleasant whatsoever compared to the softness of the grass. Even that itself was bad, but it seemed that the cave floor was on a whole never level. Dream would just have to just used to it.
Of course it didn't help that George was sleeping on top of him so peacefully. At times it felt like the guy was pushing him into the ground. Dream wasn't calling him extremely heavy or whatever, it was just that the little bit of extra weight was only adding pressure on the uneven ground below Dream.
He opened up his eyes and looked down to see George still fast asleep. Now that he had woken up once, he was most likely going to be up again today, but it wasn't a certain. Dream knew that he needed the rest though so Dream made no attempt to shake George out of his slumber.
Dream looked up through the hole in the cave and saw that the sun was up and shining. It was a shocker that no one had even come by here yet, but given the various choices of terrain it didn't really shock him all too much.
He glanced down at George and at a camera that was in the cave. They were hidden everywhere, but you could still hear the slight focusing of the lens as not only the Gamemakers watched them, but the nation, too.
Dream whispered out a small sorry and then pulled George up a little, mouth right next to George's ear now and he spoke into it as quietly but audibly as he could. "Georgie, I'll be back soon. Don't go anywhere."
Of course there was no response, so Dream slid of from under George and laid him on the ground. He knew that was uncomfortable for George though so Dream came up with an idea. He went over to his backpack and took out George's torn shirt, setting it down onto the ground and slightly bunching it up a little so it was somewhat in a shape of a pillow.
From there he took George's out of the bag and took the belt off of them, and he laid the cloth on the ground. It wasn't going to provide any sort of comfort, but it'd at least keep George from having to deal with the pebbles just like Dream had to all night.
Dream went over to his friend and picked him up, bringing him over to the makeshift 'bed' and laying him down onto it. On the bright side his head was propped so that wouldn't cause any massive muscle aches.
He glanced over at the camera once more and sighed. If he really wanted to sell this act, he was probably going to have to act all lovey-dovey even if George wasn't awake. Great. Dream leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to George's lips. It didn't feel all too bad actually, but Dream wouldn't go as far as to say he was enjoying it. This was his best friend after all.
Dream pulled back and smiled down at George. He stood up fully again and grabbed his sword out of the backpack and decided that now would be a good time to take his leave. Dream did just that, leaving behind the backpack and daggers so George would have something to protect himself with if anyone managed to find him. Not like he was even awake anyways.
He stepped out of the cave and wandered away from it. First thing was first, find some food. They already had a stable water source so it wasn't like they had to worry about that one too much.
Dream didn't get very far though before he heard a chime coming from something above him. When he looked up he saw a little mini sphere being carried by a small parachute. He recognized immediately what it was, and within seconds he was running right over to where it had landed which wasn't too far away.
He grabbed onto it and opened up the sphere. In it was a note, and to be polite he just grabbed it first so he could read whatever was on it.
"Nice job back there. Now try to look like you're not going to throw up when you kiss him. - T"
