It had been four years since Dream and George won the Games. Unexpectedly, the Capitol had let them be. They never attempted to hurt any of their loved ones, but they did make sure that the little stunt the two of them pulled didn't repeat itself.

The Capitol made it evident after their year that it wouldn't be happening again. When the two of them had been called to mentor, the tributes they were looking after had informed them that in the training room they said specifically that there'd be only one victor, not two.

Apart of George felt happy that they managed to outsmart the Capitol, but on the other hand, he prayed that the newer tributes weren't going to do what they did. If someone attempted to pull it off again then there wasn't a doubt in George's mind that the Capitol wouldn't let it slide again.

George was currently sitting on a carefully knit white blanket. Beside him was his husband, Dream, and his daughter, Brenna. Him and Dream had adopted her only a few months ago. She was six years old and had raven colored hair, eyes a pearly blue.

They had no idea who her original parents were. It didn't matter all that much, but a part of George really wanted to meet them sometimes. Maybe to say something to them about how much Brenna has made his life more enjoyable, or something sappy like that.

Dream had his eyes focused on her as they played around on the blanket. It consisted of Brenna trying to use him as a playground, all the way up to her trying to sneak off to go play in the flower field near them.

They quickly found out that Brenna was absolutely fascinated by flowers. Much like George when he was younger, she also enjoyed messing around with the different herbs in their cabinets, and really even any plant she could get ahold of. Sure, it got her into trouble sometimes, but it didn't make George love her any less.

Brenna sat in front of Dream with a few roses in her hand. She looked up at Dream curiously and then went back to the flower. George chuckled a little and then also glanced over at Dream. This sight made his heart swell with absolute affection.

"Brenna, are you going to make a flower crown?" Dream had asked.

"Flower crown?" She echoed.

Dream smiled softly and reached for one of the roses, going down to the bottom of the stem and creating a hole in the middle of the stem. "A crown, to go on your head. Like a hat, but prettier."

Brenna eyes the flowers closely. "Like the yellow on Technoblade's head?"

"Exactly like that," Dream chuckled quietly and then grabbed another rose, putting it through the stem of the other rose and then continuing on just like that until they were in a full circle.

It was pretty, the red roses shining under the sun that bathed them in warmth. Brenna looked at Dream's creation and grabbed it from him. She held it like it was the most fragile thing in the world, and then she attempted to place it on her head. It fit perfectly, Dream having used the right amount of roses.

"I am Technoblade! So big and scary," She threw he hands into the air, "Wah!!" Brenna attempted to make a scary face, which ended up looking like she had just smelled the most spoiled milk in the world.

George burst out into laughter at the impression. Technoblade really wasn't like that at all after getting to know him, but maybe her young age still allowed her to see him as some big and scary man. In all actuality, he'd probably give the world to those he loved if he could. Dream and George had gotten to know him really well over the years, and he wasn't a bad guy whatsoever.

Dream smiled brightly and took the crown off of her head. Brenna giggled and got up again, stealing the flower crown back and then walking over to George. She plopped the plants right onto his head despite it being too small.

It didn't fit around his head, just sat on top of it. He felt so happy here, so at peace with what his life finally came to. George wouldn't trade this for anything in the world.

"Dad, dad! Look!" Brenna called towards Dream, pointing at George who was on the verge of sneezing due to the pollen that was close to coming into contact with his face.

Dream looked over and laughed, "I see, sweetie."

"Looks like the prince from the story you read me!" Brenna cheerfully spoke.

George sneezed into his elbow and groaned. "I sure don't feel like a prince now that this pollen is near my nose."

This earned a laugh out of Dream, nearly equivalent to a wheeze as it fell from his lips. The raven-haired girl sat down in George's lap once more and picked up a daisy this time, sniffing it and just messing around with the petals in general.

Dream allowed his gaze to slip over to George, who was now taking off the flower crown that had triggered his small allergies. He looked down at Brenna but decided to leave her to whatever she was doing. From the looks of it, she was just trying to make a bouquet with the flowers they had all gathered up.

George looked over at Dream and gave him a soft smile. His hand slid over to Dream's, interlacing their fingers and allowing the rings on their fingers to sparkle. Dream's ring was a simple silver, a small smile engraved on the inside of the ring where it wasn't visible to the public eye. On George's he had a singular row of diamonds circling around the entire thing, but there was nothing else to go along with it.

"You actually do look pretty with the flowers though," Dream was the first to speak out of the two of them.

"Yeah, if only I could handle them without sneezing."

Dream leaned in a little a planted a chaste kiss on George's lips. "Still beautiful either way."

George smiled and pecked Dream's lips in return, "Well, then I can say that you look amazing too."

"I know I do."

They softly laughed at the same time and then leaned in to kiss once more, but before they could even get too close, Brenna interrupted it with a loud whine. "I'm still here!"

George looked down at her and pat her head, giving her the same soft smile that he always did. "Aww, can't I just kiss dad?"

"No. You have to pay attention to me instead," she attempted to demand but it only came off as a pout.

Dream was the one to answer instead of George, scooping Brenna up into his arms and then holding her up into the sky. "I'll pay attention to you!"

Brenna giggled loudly and cheered. Clearly she was enjoying being held up like that because she didn't attempt to protest against it whatsoever. When she was set back down again, she crawled into Dream's lap and didn't stop going on about how fun that just was.

George breathed out contently. He turned to look at the flower field in front of them, admiring all the colors before him. Sure, he couldn't see all of them properly, but that didn't make the sight any less pretty.

"Love you George," Dream whispered. It was random, but it was nice to hear.

"I love you too."
