*On the plane*

Steve and Howard were talking about something related to the mission. I couldn't really understand what they were saying. I had zoned out the entire ride.

"L/n? Are you okay?" Steve asked. I snapped out of it and looked up at him. I tried to smile and nodded my head. "Yeah. I'm good." I said. I got up out of my seat and walked around for a minute to clear my head. About ten minutes later, the plane started shaking. I held the wall to gain grip again, but the shaking wouldn't stop.

People were firing at us. Steve and I decided it was time to go. "When we give the clear, get the hell out of here!" Steve yelled. I grabbed his hand and we jumped out of the plane.

While we were falling, something came to my mind. I had never skydived before and the fact that I was with Steve made it even more fun. I started laughing and Steve looked over at me. "What? I've never done this before. This is the most fun I've had in forever." I yelled. He just laughed. He squeezed my hand tighter as we landed.

We crept to the entrance and crouched behind a tree. There were lights everywhere and when we looked behind us, there were trucks coming in so Steve took the chance of running onto the last truck. "Steve!" I hissed. He kept going. He jumped in, so I ran after the truck. I assumed there were a few soldiers because I heard a couple hits. Two men then fell out of the truck, so I jumped in. "Steve, you are nuts."

"Let's just go get Bucky." Steve laughed. I rolled my eyes as I took a seat in enemy territory.

We got inside and saw all the cells. We saw all of our men, except for Bucky. My eyes instantly started tearing up. "You go look for Buck. I've got the men." Steve ordered. I nodded my head as I continued walking down the hall.

I walked for 10 minutes, and finally saw him. I ran up to the cell and unlocked it immediately. We locked eyes before hugging as tight as I could. "I'm so glad you're okay." I said, in tears. "You're a lot stronger than I remember." He laughed. I laughed while carrying him on my arm. "Yeah, super soldier serum'll do that to you." He looked at me confused.

"Basically, Steve and I got injected with this serum, and now we're super strong and fast." He nodded his head slowly. "Got it. Okay, let's get out of here before something bad happens." He yelled. I gave the pilot the signal, picked Bucky up, and started running for the plane.

We met Steve there about 10 minutes later. "What took you so long? Thought you were faster." Bucky laughed. "Oh you know, I just had a little pit stop with Schmidt." Steve rolled his eyes, acting like Schmidt was no big deal.

We all got in the plane with the other men, but Schmidt's men shot the plane before we picked up speed. The plane started going down. Nobody was injured more, but now we had to walk to the base.

Three hours later, we finally arrived at the base. There was no telling how many men we had brought back, but everyone thought they were dead. Everyone, including Peggy and Bucky, started cheering for me and Steve.

I rolled my eyes as I went to the bar. I needed a drink for what was to come next.
