I am currently in a horrible headspace with certain dramas in my life so this book won't be updated for a few days while I think things over. Thats why I'm posting what I have for now.
Love you.
"Ma!" You called out as you jumped into the older Imps arms. Her dark red hair was braided, leaving a lock of white bangs out. Her deep yellow eyes complemented her faded red skin as did her black plaid blouse.
"Oh, N/N! The farm has missed you so much! I swear these chooks haven't been the same since you moved Hun."
Your mother praised, gesturing to the fat little 'Hell Chickens' as you liked to call them.
"I hope they weren't too hard on you Ma, they have some claws on em'.""Oh, by the way dear. We hired a little help since you moved out! Millies family is lovely yes, but we really could do with all the help we could Get. Striker! Come over here please hun!" She placed a hand on your shoulder as she called out to him, it seemed hard for her to raise her voice comfortably.
Soon, a snake-like Imp riding a Night-Mare interrupted your thoughts. "Yes ma'am?" His course voice startled you, it shook you to your bones."This is my daughter, Y/N. She's visiting for the week!" Your mothers voice heightened in excitement when she mentioned how long you'd be staying. 'Striker' hoped off of the equine and looked you up and down, before greeting you. "The names Striker." He said, holding his hand out to you. "Pleasure to meet you." You responded as your hand met his in a firm shake.
To say you admired him was an understatement. His hand fit perfectly in yours, and his eyes seemed to glow at the sight of you. Well- they always seemed to glow at everything you suppose. "Oooh! Bubs, Millie's here with her colleagues!" Ma excitedly pointed out, grabbing the attention of Lin and Joe. You ran up to the truck they arrived in and hugged Millie as soon as she stepped out. "O- Y/N?? Your back!" Her arms wrapped around you at her realisation. You let go and moved on to Moxxie, engulfing the Imp in the same hug. You ignored the distant rattling noise, you were in the Country so you wouldn't be surprised if there were a rattle snake or 2 around.
(Hehe little did u know... Striker jealous ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄ )
After alot of hugs and greetings, you were finally sat at the dinner table. It was comforting to be sat with so many people (7 + a dog ig), though also a bit crowded and suffocating.
You didn't know why, or how, but the presence of Striker next to you was comforting.
The way he propped his arm up on the back of his chair, making him subconsciously face you made your heart flutter. And the way his eyes would dart to you once you started speaking, made you feel seen."Say, Y/N. What do think of the Farm so far? Its been years since you've seen it, huh?" Joe asked, suddenly shifting all the attention to you.
"I love it. I'm glad you all and Ma were able to afford the changes."
Ma just smiled and looked at you with an unknown emotion. "Why don't you stay bubs? We miss you.." She sounded hopeful. "Ma you know I cant.""Why not? This place is nearly impossible to run without you."
"I just- CANT." You subconsciously stood up as you spoke, frustrated. Seeing as you were already up, you decided you would just go up to your room. "Im full." You stated, before leaving. You sat on the floor, leaning against the bed frame and giving Saturn some pets. She was an all black border collie, with tiny little horns.
Suddenly, your door creeked open a tad, and a voice came through. "Hey, Doll. Why'd ya' leave? The conversations pretty dry without ya'.." Striker didn't peek in, for the sake of your privacy.
"I used to live with Ma, I knew what she was gonna do. She was gonna shame me for leaving her in the dust when she was struggling and blah blah blah.." you said as you stood up and opened the door, falling into Striker and wrapping your arms around his torso. You didn't think anything of this action, you did it alot. Striker gladly slithered his arms around your waist, feeling smug.
I mean, you barely knew him, why would it mean anything?
