It was just another day for everyone.
They were up to their neck with work, there were events and tour plans and recording and choreographies coming up daily.
That was life. It was fine.
Perhaps it has been a month now, Yoongi and Jimin couldn't really remember with work. During this month, they have stolen a few quick kisses in the changing room. To be honest, there wasn't any progress in their relationship.
But since the past few days, Jimin was a little on the edge. He had acted good so fortunately or unfortunately, nobody noticed. It was fine, they were busy, they didn't have to remember this one date every year out of so many dates.
His father's 14th death anniversary was coming up next week so he was a little sad. That was alright. Just that his heart was grieving and he was missing his father and he couldn't focus during work and-
It was fine. He was coping.
He just had to go back to Busan for that, be a support to his family when they would remember his dad dying from a heart attack. The panic, the sound of the ambulance, he was there, eyes teary, an eleven-years-old boy holding hand of his nine-years-old brother as he watched them take his on the stretcher...
He was sure that the concerts in Seoul coming up were on alternative days, and he was sure that it was leave on the day of his father's death. He'll just go there and come back in just a day. Yes.
Well, at least that was the plan.
Until all of them were sitting in Bang PD's office and taking in the dates of the said concerts. There was one on that day too.
Say it, Jimin. Tell them you need to go back home on that day. Tell them the reason.
As everyone discussed whatever they were discussing, Jimin opened his mouth to interrupt, struggling to form a word.
"I-"
He closed his mouth. He couldn't ruin such a big event for his personal life. He couldn't ruin it for his bandmates and not for the company. Even if it meant putting his reason at stake.
It hurt. He missed his father. He still couldn't believe he wouldn't see him ever again in his life.
Shit.
What would he tell his mom? Why couldn't he come? He was busy. In what kind of a life and death situation was he so busy that he couldn't come to his father's death anniversary? His mom was going to be so upset.
He just looked down, as everyone else continued chatting.
He was lucky that the meeting was over within five minutes because his tears were going to gush out any second now. When all the seven of them left the office, he sprinted off towards the balcony, not bothering to follow the rest of them.
That's when Yoongi noticed and decided to follow the younger in worry.
He reached the balcony to see the younger standing at the railing, facing his back at the elder. Yoongi could just assume that Jimin's hands were wrapped around himself, and he was...shaking. Was he crying?
Upon nearing two steps, Yoongi could hear the small sobs escaping from the younger's mouth. He was definitely crying.
That's all he needed to reach Jimin out, taking his shoulder and turning him around to face him, making Jimin retreat a step in shock.
"Jimin, what happened?" He asked worriedly as Jimin tried to wipe off his tears in an attempt to hide he was ever crying. But it was too late.
"Jimin?" Yoongi asked again, grabbing the younger's upper arms and lightly shaking him. Jimin just looked down, gulping down his sobs and sniffling silently, thick trails of tears sticking on his cheeks as more flowed down.
"Jimin, what's wrong?!" Yoongi asked more urgently this time, grabbing Jimin's jaw and forcing him to meet his gaze. Jimin was hiccuping, his face and eyes red as he stared back at Yoongi.
"What's wrong is that he's dead, Hyung!" He yelled, making Yoongi freeze. "H-h-he's dead! My father is dead. Just. dead. I-I can't see him, he's gone."
"Oh, Jimin." Yoongi breathed out, pulling the younger into a tight hug as he rubbed up and down his back to soothe the shaking boy.
"This is how I honour him, Hyung. By not going h-home on his death anniversary-"
He wailed and sobbed more into Yoongi's chest, circling his hands around the elder's waist.
"Why aren't you going home?"
"Because of the concerts obviously... I can't let such a big thing postpone just because of my-"
"Jimin- are you kidding me?"
Jimin looked up from the elder's chest, neither of them breaking the hug.
"No, I-"
"No, Jimin. If you'll be this selfless- oh god, no. Absolutely not, Jimin. Your family needs you there, just go. Take a leave, tell them the reason. If you won't, I will."
He knew he couldn't fight Yoongi, so he rested his cheek back on his shoulder.
"I really miss him, Hyung, even if it's been years." He said, voice barely above a whisper.
"I know, baby," Yoongi replied, stroking the younger's hair.
Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "Why do you call me baby? I'm a grown man."
"You're my big baby."
Jimin lightly smacked the elder's chest but fell into Yoongi comfortingly at the same time. If Jimin was a cat, he would be purring right now. If we talked about physique, Jimin beat Yoongi very well in muscles, even though the elder was trying to make abs again. But Yoongi's chest was actually so broad, it could be an official kink. And Yoongi's voice, it was so effortlessly deep and husky, Jimin could have an orgasm by just hearing Yoongi speak.
"Will you come with me, Hyung?"
"Huh?"
"To Busan, will you come with me? I could really use some company."
Yoongi pulled Jimin's face away to face him.
"Jimin's are you sure? I don't wanna invade, it's a family thing-"
"You're not invading, Hyung. I'm my family's support while you're mine. Please?"
Yoongi stared at the younger for a good minute before breathing out a yes.
