"So," you huffed before continuing what you're saying. "Do we need to take the stairs?"
"Yes, people will be concerned if we took the elevator, thinking there might be an emergency or some sort." Mr. Aizawa answered, not even out of breath for all the climbing that you've been doing for the past 10 minutes.
"Ugh, why is this building so tall!" You grunted once again. "I need to work on my cardio." You said and finally, you can see the door to the rooftop. Mr. Aizawa opened it and you instantly felt the morning breeze. You inhaled deeply and ran towards the edge.
"Woah! Look at this view!"
"Be careful." He said and pulled you a few steps away from the edge. You stood a little behind him and you can still see everything so you did not complain. A couple of minutes later, he decided to talk.
"You see that house over there? The one with the blue roof."
"Yes?"
"That's where the victim lives. The report says he's acting strange since the incident happened. You read it right?" You nodded and he continued. "He only talks to one person but refuses to talk to anyone else. So we must be careful. We're lucky he will let us talk to him today."
"I feel bad for him." You put your arms up to protect your eyes from the sudden strong gust of the wind. "Even though it's not his fault, he blames himself a lot, that's for sure."
You didn't get a response from Mr. Aizawa so you just observed your surroundings instead. You took note of every corner and alleyway as much as you can, looking for possible escape routes and shortcuts. But in the middle of it all, your eye caught something by the corner.
You used your quirk to have a better look and noticed that it's a man who is very far but he's looking right at you. You can't see his face clearly for he is wearing a hood that shadows his features. Only his eyes are clear and when you blinked, he's gone.
"[Y/N], what's wrong?" He said, his voice coming right behind you and you can feel a bit of his warmth on your back.
"Someone's looking at our way over that building." You pointed the said building a few streets away from where you are right now. "I blinked for a quick second and he's gone."
Mr. Aizawa is just looking over where you pointed and you're starting to think he doesn't believe you. "You don't believe me, do you?" You asked, looking up at him.
"I do." He looked you straight in the eye and spoke seriously. "I don't want to say this, but they may have gotten a whiff of our plan." He started to walk away and you mindlessly followed him. You both started walking down the stairs. "We need to act quickly. Did you observe everything properly from up there?"
