Klaus drags Luther until they meet up with Elisa while his other siblings happily join teaming up. Only Luther seemed reluctant, but when hearing Allison would be joining, he couldn't let her go alone with these dumbasses-those were his words.
Actually, he wasn't the only reluctant one. Five isn't here at all. Elisa wishes he was—she'd love to have him next to her for this mission. They've gone through so much, and yet he is not here.
Her stomach turns at the thought of his absence. There are times she allows herself to think of him, imagine him next to her at night. She wishes she was selfish enough to ask him to come back. To beg him even.
But she won't do such thing. It is his choice, she again reminds herself. If he wants to come back, he'll return to you. If he doesn't . . .
"Ready?" She cocks her head to the side when she sees the whole group approaching her. The group is standing in front of a huge building that is meant for political meetings and so. In all honesty, Elisa doesn't care about politics at all. But right now she's going to save the politic without it ever knowing what she did.
"We're going to save the Commission's ass." Klaus excitedly puts up his hands as he jumps in the air. He then does a little twirl, making Vanya giggle softly.
"We're going to best those suckers," Diego says, smirking already. Then he turns his head to Elisa, his eyes widening. "No offence," he adds.
"None taken," Elisa says, chuckling. "They're kind of suckers."
"Spoken as their leader." Vanya puts a finger up in the air as she giggles even louder. When hearing the heartwarming sound, Elisa feels herself melting. She can't help it; she giggles together with Vanya.
Then, being the cheerful person Luther always is, he sighs. "So, what's this about, then? We just have to find someone with a hood on?"
"We've also got to make sure the minister doesn't get shot," Allison adds, ignoring Luther's dramatic eyeroll.
"We've got to stop an assassination attempt on te minister and catch a hooded person," Diego asks, frowning. Elisa realizes that it does sound like a lot, but that's exactly why she is glad Klaus brought-almost-all his siblings. It wouldn't have been possible with the two of them.
"Actually," Elisa starts, "My agents have already taken care of the supposed-to-be murderer. They've knocked the man out, so we only have to find the hooded person, make sure he doesn't shoot the minister, and take him with us."
"Pfff." Klaus waves his hand in the air. "Easy."
"We'll have to split up," Elisa tells them all. "I've got no idea where the hooded person is located in the building."
"We've got to find a name for the hooded person," Klaus says. "It's getting rather boring."
Elisa doesn't comment on Klaus-no one does. All eyes are still on Elisa, concentrated, waiting for her to continue. And that's exactly what she does. "Like I said, my agents have already done their part of the job." Elisa cringes every time she uses the words 'my agents." It's not supposed to be this way, and she's sure that it won't ever feel normal. "That means only the hooded person is part of our mission. We'll split up in groups to find them. Who's with who?"
In the end, it's Klaus who leaves with Luther and Allison, and Elisa takes off with Vanya and Diego.
"Where do we start?" Diego murmurs as the three approach the building's entrance. He glances at Vanya, who's watching the whole building in front of her with wide eyes. "This isn't just some building."
"You're right about that," Elisa says, knowing very well they're on a deadline, and if they didn't succeed in time, the minister would die. No pressure, Elisa thought grumpily. But she has faith in the teams-maybe even more than she has in her own agents, considering they could be waiting behind every corner to push her of the "throne" they all so desperately want.
