Zak's POv- 

Me and darryl were walking and it was really cold outside today, luckily it was after school and we were just walking around for fresh air looking at the very nice almost sparkling snow then i felt an arm wrap around my own.. It was darryl's his body felt cold and so it held him close to me as we start walking back to the house

"Darryl you're cold why didn't you tell me sooner?" he hesitated to respond to my question then finally said 

"i just--.. didn't want to bother you so i didnt" he took a shaky breath from the cold, and yes i know it sounds weird but im not weird ok?? just a worried friend- and because of the way darryl eats .. i have to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't pass out or anything due to how lightweight he is. 

"darryl. you are cold as a popsicle that just came out of a freezer. As soon as we get home you need to take a hot shower, i will make you a small plate of food and hot coco, is that ok?" 

he hestantly nodded yes in response and i smiled softly at him as we finally arrived to the warm house and got inside. before darryl got upstairs i reminded him our friends were picking us up later for a party and he just said ok and went to take a shower.

I heard the water running and started to make food for him and hot chocolate as well. as i was making everything for darryl all i could think about was holding him close, and maybe just kiss those perfectly rose tinted lips he had.. 

then i hear the water stop running and after five minutes he came down stairs in a hoodie.. thats my hoodie-? anyway- well i set stuff on the table for him and he sat in the chair eating small bites of the food i made him. he took  a couple bites eating less than half and pushed the bowl away to take a sip of the hot chocolate he had

"at least your eating something.." i sorta mumble under my breath and just looked at him and smiled 

"hm?" he responded still sipping on the hot coco then putting the cup down having foam at the top of his lip which made me laugh a bit as he looked at me with a confused look

" What  are you laughing at you muffin head-!"  i just laughed and leaned closer to him wiping the foam from his upper lip off with my thumb

" you had-.. hot coco foam on the top of your lip" i just responded my gaze meeting his own, his face was tinted pink from the heat.. both of us didn't even notice how close we were 

we were just.. staring at each other's eyes not taking them off each other for what felt like eternity, then his fingertip slightly touched my own. ... we both snapped out of the moment and quickly pulled away from the trance we were both stuck in apologizing for our actions and awkward silence came upon us. i finally spoke up saying

"we- should- see if they are here yet."  darryl nodded quickly and i got up quickly going to the door, luckily they were here 

* meaning his friend group btw*

and darryl got up and ready as i did and we all left to go to the small party that is being held at nicks (sapnaps) house it was the small group of us

- at the party-

No one's pov-

The small group of boys were hanging out and some were drinking, yes they are 18 but they are still under age. they didnt really care they were all having fun as friends and they liked it. darryl only drinking a little saw zak was a bit tipsy and sat him down on the couch 

"zak how much did you drink? zak responded  with mumbled god knows whats just saying 

"I- DaRrYL DiD YoU Knoooww how cute you arE " he gave a small hic with a laugh and darryl of course became a bit flustered but knew he was tipsy, right? 

yeah, zak was tipsy there was no explanation for his actions he is doing right now Darryl just gave an awkward thank you then zak moved him into his lap holding him close 

"we can cuddle now, and now you have somewhere evEn Moooree comfy"

darryl grew more pink by the second but agreed and held him back and rested his head on his shoulder and said

"you are so lucky you are my best friend sgeppy i would not let anyone else do this. you muffin-" he let out a shaky breath and feel them both fall backwards on the couch holding each other close like that not letting go or aware of their surroundings, or even caring that their friends are watching.

Probably taking photo's for blackmail or something, and of course they were-

Darryl's pov- 

I was just there being held and snuggled by my one best friend, also my.. crush i guess i could feel him play with my hair with made me more comfortable and made me snuggle into his chest hiding my face, i dozed of listening to the sound of zak's heart beat... it was oddly confering and i finally fell asleep, i dont know if zak did or not but it was nice.. and warm i just love the feeling of this 

even though zak is tipsy, he probably won't remember this moment.. but i will 

i will never forget this.. ever this will stay in my head rent free.
