New Beginnings| A Chanjin/Hyunchan story

Part 5

After the waiter left Felix reached over the girls to tap Hyunjin in the shoulder. "He's definitely flirting" Felix said with a smirk, referring his comment about the waiter.
"Ugh shut up" Hyunjin said rolling his eyes.

"Blondie" Chan said, wanting to get Hyunjin's reaction, once he did, he continued, "Are they your daughters?" He said glancing at Yennie and Mina.
Hyunjin gulped, tensing up at Chan's words.
"Yes they are." said Hyunjin, really drily, placing his hand on Mina's shoulder.

"They're cute, just like their mom" Chan chuckled.
Hyunjin stared back at Chan, his face emotionless. "Uh-uhm thank you... I guess..."

A waitress soon appeared and started handing out their orders. Once everyone's food and drinks were settled, everyone started to eat. Yennie and Mina being three years old of course needed assistance from their mom.

"Yennie, Mina, pay attention at your food. Just like we've practiced."

"Mina, hold your fork the right way, sweetie"

"Mina, sit correctly. You too Yennie."

"Yennie, dear, do you need help?"

"Girls, if you behave I'll buy you ice cream later, okay?"

What Hyunjin didn't notice, was Chan looking admiringly at Hyunjin while he did his job as a mom.

"Do you need something?" Asked Hyunjin rather coldly as he finally noticed Chan had set his hands down and was now plainly staring at Hyunjin.

"Oh- no, sorry" Chan chuckled a bit "I was just amazed by how much patience you have and how well you manage yourself as a parent. I've always been amazed by parents, and especially by single parents."

"Thanks, I guess" The blond was left a bit shocked by Chan's comment, but decided to take it as a compliment.

Now they were all just waiting on the girls to finish their food. And once they were finished, Hyunjin called the waiter over and asked for their bill so he could pay.

When the waiter brought the bill over, Chan pulled out his debit card from his wallet and shifted it over the little tray that held the recite with their bill.

"Oh- don't worry about it. I'll pay." Said Hyunjin as he handed back Chan his card. To which Chan grabbed his card and ran up to the counter with the bill and handed it to the waiter.
"Hold on! I'm gonna pay!" Hyunjin called as he stood up, cash in hand, bag in shoulder, and ran behind Chan up to the counter.

"Too late blondie" said Chan as he flashed the blond a really bright smile .
