With two quick flashes of red light, the group was reunited. The volunteer fighters has been instructed on keeping the front of the castle on lockdown, and to subdue the Royal Guards as quickly and safely as possible. Undyne and Papyrus were met with hugs and excitement, as well as an abundance of relief. The fish monster received a kiss from her girlfriend, who quickly gave one of her own since the scientist had been a big part of why they succeeded.
(Frisk quietly snuck away for a moment to save in the corner.)
"A-are we ready for the next part of the plan?" Alphys asked, looking out at her friends. Hopeful, worried, but determined faces looked back at her.
Flowey cleared his throat softly, gaining the attention of the others, "what's happening in the rest of the Underground?"
The (now, likely former) Royal Scientist turned around towards the large screens behind her. She tapped a few keys and the larger screens began to display the main cameras in each section of the Underground. To everyone's collective surprise, there were no fights breaking out. There weren't many monsters out at all, but the ones that were outside seemed to be complacent.
"Perhaps this change is more welcome than we thought," Toriel smiled.
It only took a few minutes of sorting supplies, including the last of the magic-blocking devices, and another moment for Frisk to save once again out of nervousness, before they were ready for the next stage of the plan to begin.
Alphys and Undyne would be staying at the lab this time around while everyone else would be traveling to the castle to confront the King. The scientist would be monitoring the cameras from across the Underground and keeping everyone in the castle aware of any threats or movements she saw. Undyne would be her protector, and also help with any Royal Guard members that needed to be detained or held in the lab (namely Dulio, who was still attempting to escape despite his restraints).
Confronting the King would be left up to everyone else. They knew it would be their most challenging task yet, but Sans, Flowey, and Frisk all knew about their secret advantage. Hopefully, they wouldn't need to Reset at all, but they would be fooling themselves if they thought it would all go smoothly.
With one last group hug, the mix of monsters and a human separated. The former queen lifted the shorter of the skeleton brothers up and placed a kiss on his head, making them both smile softly. Flowey allowed himself to be picked up by the human child, and wrapped his vines around them so Asgore wouldn't be able to immediately recognize them as human. Undyne, whose one hand was holding Alphys', grinned and put her other hand on Papyrus' shoulder, "good luck, punk!"
The corner of his mouth raised, "thanks, we'll need it."
Two skeletons, a goat monster, a human, and a flower all joined hands and disappeared in a flash of red light.

When they had stopped falling through space and time, they all appeared in the throne room of the castle. The King didn't appear to be in the room, but there were sounds heard from the path that led to the Barrier.
Alphys' voice spoke through a small speaker attached to a bag the younger skeleton brother was holding, "I-I can see the King. He's in the next room over, the one w-with all the flowers..."
"Does he look like he's ready t-to fight?" Sans asked, noticing how no one had made a move toward the doorway even after Alphys disclosed Asgore's location.
"No..."
Undyne's voice suddenly came through the speaker, "but that doesn't mean he's not prepared. He did teach me how to fight a long time ago. He respected me, at least until Papyrus took over... even if he casted me aside, remember that he taught me what I know, and one of those things is how to appear weak."
