So, this was a little hard for me because I only wrote this one because I couldn't get this thought out of my head. At the the time of me writing this my cousin is.... Well.... We don't know where he is. I am really worried. I can only hope and pray he is okay.
Tim's POV
Waking up, something felt off. I got out of my bed and yawned. It was way too early to be up. Plus I had a long night. I went to my brother's room and knocked on the door. "Dick, you up?"
I knew the answer was going to be yes, but I was surprised when I heard nothing. "Dick?"
I opened the door and I saw that he wasn't in his room. I blinked and walked into the room. I took notice of the unmade bed which showed that he had been here but had left in a hurry.
I left the room and went to the main living room. He wasn't there, which he sometimes hangs around when he is not busy. I decided to check the rest of the house to see if he may be somewhere else.
I searched every corner of the mansion, and my brother was nowhere to be found. I even checked the back cave, and he still wasn't there. I couldn't find him. I decided to ask Alfred if he had seen Dick.
"Hey, Alfred. Have you seen Dick? I can't find him."
"Master Dick has Not left his room to my knowledge. Did you check there?"
"Yeah, I did. Something I didn't think about was checking the cameras. I can see if he ever left the manor."
"That is an excellent idea of master Tim. In the meantime, I shall alert master Bruce of his son's disappearance. Not that he'd be surprised since Master Dick has always been good at disappearing."
I nodded his head in agreement. My brother always had been good at disappearing when he didn't want to be found.
I checked the cameras and found that Dick had left, but not on his own accord. Someone, I couldn't get a clear image of who it was, entered the room through the window. The two of them were in the room together for quite some time before Dick and the other person left through the window. He had left the manor. That would explain why Alfred never saw him leave the Manor.
I decided to go and do some detective work and find my missing brother. I used his tracker that was in his utility belt to track Nightwing's suit. I saw that my brother had left in the suit. I was suddenly glad that I had planted a tracker on my brother's suit.
The tracker led him farther and farther from the manor and to the outskirts of Gotham. Just where was he going? I was getting worried. My brother would have at least let me know. I know that things are still rough with him and Bruce, but I thought things were getting better. I still wanted to know who that was.
By the time that I found Nightwing's tracker, I found it in a ditch. I bit my lip and my worry shot up. Just where was my brother?
I know that I am always someone who worries more than I should. Dick always believed in me. He believed in me when he made me a mission leader. I should believe in myself that I can find him.
Clearing my thoughts of any worry, I took a deep breath and decided to look around. My brother and my father have both taught me amazing detective skills that I should really put into use. There has to be something around here that can leave me to him. I don't care if it is the smallest piece of hair, there has to be something. So far, I was lucky to not find blood. He has not been attacked. That put me at ease.
The perks of having Batman as a mentor means you have access to a lot of gadgets. Fortunately for me, I know how to use practically all of them. Man, maybe my family is right and I should really get out more. I used this tracking device that tracks the remnants of heat from someone who had walked by.
This device has helped me find many people in the past, so hopefully it can help me again. I followed The tracks that had been detected and found myself near the forest that Gotham is next to. Taking a deep breath, I go into the woods. Just how far did he go?
It wasn't long before the trail went blank. That means that my brother was no longer walking on the ground. He used the trees to get around. I can no longer track him. I decided to have a little bit of faith in my brother. He's been doing this way longer than I have, and I'm sure he's okay. I just wish he had left a note of some sort telling us where he went. Maybe I should have trusted him for the beginning, but it just felt odd that he didn't bother to tell me, or anyone for that matter. I decided and headed back to the manor.
My eyes rested on the ground and I walked through the door. I heard voices and I looked up and saw my brother. He was talking to Alfred and Bruce. I was a little surprised considering that I had left and he had returned in such a short span.
"Dick? Where were you?"
"Oh, hey Tim. Alfred told me that you were looking for me. Sorry for not telling you that I had left. Let's just say, an old friend of mine came back. He needed me to do something. I'll spare you the details for now, let's just relax for now. And again, I'm sorry for making you worry."
I nodded my head. I understood what he meant. He Didn't have time to inform me of his plans because he never made these plans. Ever since I moved in with Bruce, and got a second chance to have a family my anxiety spiked when it came to family. I don't want to lose my second family. And I never will. I'll make sure of that.
A/N: Okay, I wrote this while we didn't know where my cousin was. Well, I wrote most of it. We know where he is now, and he is okay. The reason he never contacted us where he was is because he apparently lost his phone. It gave us quite the scare when he went on a plane, and never arrived to my aunt's house. That is the most terrifying thing to hear. We know where he is now, he's fine, and I wrote this story because of it. I hope you guys liked it, and maybe I will write a separate story dealing with that little random mission that Dick went on. We'll see.
