CHAPTER 16

DAHYUN'S POV

It's been a week since I got discharged. I never got out of my room ever since. I am completely fine, it's just that I don't have the energy to do so. I feel like something is missing. Am I being too dramatic? After everything that has happened, I don't see the reason why he had to ghost around. I was expecting to see him the first when I woke up but no. There were barely any people at my room. The atmosphere was gloomy.

I decided to finally go out of my room. "Hyun." Jihyo unnie said almost a whisper before running and engulfing me into a hug. I giggled at how unnie just threw her phone at the couch just to hug me. "I missed you." I said as we pulled away from the hug. "DUBUUUUUUUU." And here comes the chaos. I was squished in to a giant hug. "What's wrong with all of you?" I asked but realized that some of them got teary eyed. I hugged them again. "I'm sorry." I shortly said not releasing them from my hug. 'Don't do that again unnie, do you know how worried we were!" Tzuyu whined as her tears did not stop falling down her cheeks. "Yeah, dubu, don't do that again. Do you know how much tissue boxes I had to buy just for her?" Jeongyeon unnie teased and Tzuyu, despite being in the midst of her dramtic crying, glared furiously at her. "We're just glad you're doing fine now." Nayeon unnie said and pulled us again on a hug. "Is Chae on a date again?" I asked and the others laughed. "Where else would she be?" Tzuyu rolled her eyes.

"Chae, where are you?" I asked and Chae seemed surprised. "Unnie! You're ok!" She squealed. I giggled "Yes Chae, now where are you." I asked but the other line remained silent. "I'll... I'll just text you." She replied shortly and ended the call. She texted me an address and I rushed to my car and drove there.

Oh, It's a café near the hospital. I thought as I went down the car. "Look, you are misunderstanding us." I heard a familiar voice. "Misunderstand? Is flirting with this a fucking misunderstanding?" "Language young lady." I rushed up knowing whose voices were those. "You made unnie hope, you left her to wake up with no one by her side." I saw Chae tearing up. "SHE FUCKING CRIED ALL WEEK JUST BECAUSE OF YOU AND HERE YOU ARE FLIRTING WITH A WHORE LIKE HER. DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO SHE IS? NO. YOU PROBABLY JUST FOUND HER ON A BAR STRIPPING IN FRONT OF YOU." She shouted back and the guy could only look down. "What are you looking at? Scram you slut." Chae shouted at the girl. "You have no ri-" Before the girl finish what she was saying, Chae slapped her mouth. "I don't talk with slutty girls. Now go before I make you." I hugged Chaeyoung from behind and I noticed how she got startled. "U-unnie." She looked back at me. "Who told you to curse like that." I looked at her weakly. I don't even know how to handle this but knowing how much of a burden I'll be if I just cry here.

"I'm sorry." That's all he can say. I looked at Chae and my brother and signaled them to leave us alone. "I am not leaving you with this ass-" Namjoon covered her mouth before pulling her back to his car. He was just looking down. I walked closer to him before engulfing him into a warm embrace. That's when he bursted out crying. His shoulders moving up and down as he sob his self out. "I... I didn't k-know... w-what I was... d-doing." His voice breaking as he cried on my shoulder. "I was... I w-was scared." He added. I held him tighter as his cries went louder. "I was s-scared. It w-was all m-my fault." This time her slid right through my arms and fell down the floor. I kneeled to level myself to him and caressed his cheeks removing the tears streaked on his cheeks. His eyes were swollen, his nose was puffy, his whole face was red, and he was catching his breath. Seeing him in this state hurts me so much as I know he feels responsible for all that was happening.

"I'll leave first." I said and bowed. "You should stay. It's still raining and it's already dark. It's dangerous." Mrs. park insisted. "Besides, .... Never mind." She said and muttered a curse which made me chuckle. She's kind, no wonder Jihyo unnie was the same. "Oh, hyun." I was startled when someone called my name. I saw Jihyo unnie going in with a surprised look on her face. "What are you doing here?" She asked and hugged me. "She brought your crazy brother home." Jihyo unnie looked me and I gave her a smile. "Chae told me so I rushed there but they told me you two have gone home." I smiled at her.
