Never be caught in an act of kindness
Reason?
Normally as humans, even in monsters, there is always am ounce, a drop of human kindness.
Monsters shouldn't, I repeat , SHOULDN'T be caught doing good stuff because it could show your enemies that you are weak at heart.
That could be taken as your weakening point and could be used against you
Morever,if the one who just counselled you catches you doing good, the person will either think that
1} you are a faker
2} you have changed
So please, my dear bullies ,monsters and monsters to be, don't make the mistake of being caught doing good
My mum sent me to get some supplies from the grocery. I loved going to the grocery because I was free to be me. I was alone and did not have to talk to anyone to bother me
Soon enough, black clouds began to gather on the way. It began to rain heavily so I sat back in the grocery store waiting for the rain to stop.
Soon enough, Damien called me.
"Hello?" He said
"Wassup, D?" I said
"I'm looking for you.. your mom sent me to pick you. I'm outside Eltee Groceries."
He said
" Oh. I'm coming." I said and packed my stuff.
I went outside and saw a red Audi, close to other parked cars. I walked past it and the driver wound down the glass
" Miss Dior?"
I turned back. It was Damien
" Come in " he said , smiling.
I walked to the car and stuffed my groceries at the backseat then I went up front with him
As he was driving, I saw a little girl of about seven years with shiny black hair and grey eyes clutching a battered teddy bear whose arm was about to fall out. She had no raincoat on and no shoes to cover her feet. My heart began to go out to that girl, who was shivering badly.
"Damien, stop the car" I said
"Huh, why?" He said
"I need to.. um stop by and get something" I said
"It can wait" he said
"It is really important. Girl code" I said
Let him think whatever he wants to think that's not my problem
"Okay your choice" he said" I'll take your groceries to your mom" he said
"Thanks" I said and got off.
I made sure that Damien had driven off before I went to look for that girl. I couldn't let him catch me doing good
I found her sitting on a bench playing with her teddy bear. The arm got ripped off in front of me and the poor thing began to sob
"Hey, shh, don't cry" I said. I let her lean her little head on my chest and I waited for her to stop crying
When she stopped, I asked her" why didn't you wear shoes?"
She sniffed "I don't have any shoes, ma'am"
"Don't call me ma'am. Call me Auntie Krishen" I said " and since you don't have shoes, why didn't you stay inside?"
" I don't have a home. I , my mum and my baby sister, Adelaide used to live in a shop but the owner chased us out" she said
My heart broke " I'm so sorry" I said
"It's not your fault, Auntie Krishen" she said
"What's your name?" I asked
"Veronica" she said
"Ronnie, i want to take you to my house and give you a decent bath and a change of clothes for you and Adelaide. It's ok, huh?"I said
"Yeah" she said
" Ok let's go" I said

I smuggled Veronica into my house without my mum seeing me. I took her to my room and ran the bath for her. I went to the box where mum kept all the clothes I ever used since babyhood and I yelled to Veronica "how old is Adelaide"
"Six months" she yelled back from the bathroom
I brought out little clothes for the baby and some other clothes I used when I was seven and I placed it on the bed
Soon she came out, wrapped in my towel . She wanted to dress up in front of me but I stopped her
"Woah woah woah, wait a bit..you need privacy" I said
She blushed pretty "thanks"
"Anytime" I said leaving the room.
Immidiately I closed the door, mum said from downstairs "Krishen, where did you go to?"
"Nothing much, just went to pick u something" I lied
"Ok" she said and I went back to my room.
Veronica was sitting on my bed when I returned.
"You hungry?" I asked
She nodded.
"Gimme a sec" I said and hurried downstairs.
"So, what's cooking?" I asked my mom
"Nothin much, just noodles for lunch " she said
"Cook a lot , cuz I'm very hungry." I said
" Yeah, I did cook a lot and I thought we were going to waste it" she said, heaving a sigh of relief
" Thanks " I said as she began to serve me. She handed me a large bowl of noodles
" Thanks , momma" I said
" You are welcome, dear. Are you sure that you can finish it?" She asked
" Yeah. There's a lioness in my tummy and I need satisfy her " I joked
" Hope the lioness is not a baby?" She said
" Yeah it is. I forgot to tell you that I am pregnant" I joked, going upstairs
" That was so funny!" Mum laughed then turned serious " you are joking, right ?"
I didn't reply. I just smirked
"Right?" She asked again

Veronica ate hungrily and finished up the whole thing.
"Thanks, Auntie Krishen" she said
"You're welcome. Now let me take you home so your mum won't get worried about your whereabouts" I said
"Ok" she said
I packed all the clothes into a bag and handed her my old teddy bear which still looked new.
"Thank you" she said happily
"Ok let's go " I said and we snuck out through the window. I took her back to the spot I found her and penned a written note to her mum about the gifts and where Veronica had been
But I was unaware that someone was watching me all the while
