Soul picked up Maka and toke her to her bedroom where he laid her on her bed. Maka rolled over to where her she was facing the wall away from Soul and started to cry. Soul laid down next to her and brought her back to his chest. "Maka I'm sure he didn't really mean to walk out. He just needs to cool down. We'll give it a few days and go talk to him again." Soul was trying his hardest to comfort Maka but that just made her cry more. Soul pulled her into a tighter embrace Hoping that would keep her from crying. Maka managed to get free of his grasp and turn around to face him. Maka could see the concern on Soul's face and barried her face into his chest. Soul wrapped his arms around her and just let her cry.
About half an hour later Maka had stopped crying and was just lying there with her face in Soul's chest. Soul was the one who pulled away first. "Maka are you okay now?" Soul looked down at Maka's face and saw that her face was red and puffy and cover with dried up tears. "I think so. At least for now." Soul leaned in and placed a kiss on her forehead. Maka blushed a little but smiled. "There's that beautiful smile I love." Soul put his left hand on her face to wipe away the remaining tears. "Maka you know your dad loves you, and he would never do anything to hurt you or mess up the relationship you two have. You just have to believe that he will calm down and come back. That's what I'm doing." Maka looked up at Soul's big, beautiful red eyes and just smiled. "I guess if you believe I can believe too." both of them got off of the bed and walked out of her bedroom. Maka headed for the shower while Soul started to make breakfast.
"Maka! Breakfast is ready!" Soul was placing the last of the food on the table when Maka finally came out of the bathroom. "I was beginning to think I was going to have to send a search and rescue team in there after you." Soul let out a little giggle as did Maka. Maka made her way over to the table and sat down in the chair Soul had pulled out for her. Once Maka sat down Soul did the same. They both say there in silence and ate their breakfast. Once the were done Maka helped Soul with the dishes. "There all done. Hey Maka you wanna go do something later?" they both were making their way to the couch. "Sure. But what would we do?" Soul sat down and then Maka sat on his lap. Soul wrapped his arms around her waist while she put her arms around his neck. "That is for me to know and for you to find out. That's why it's called a date." Soul placed a soft but swift kiss on Maka's lips. "Soul Eater Evans are you taking me out on a date?" "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Like I said that's for me to know and for you to find out." Soul had a smirk on his face while Maka just giggled. "Alright fine. But what time are we going on this date?" "I guess around 8ish." "Okay." Soul placed one more swift but soft kiss on Maka's lips then turned on the TV to the science channel.
Okay so I know this is really really short but its a filler chapter I guess. Archery and Color Guard are basically over now so I should hopefully be able to update more often.
