Ruby sits on the window seat of her old room in her childhood home, sipping on hot coco and feasting on the still warm scones her mother and father just made .
She can recall the day her mother taught her the very complex recipe, saying it was passed down from her mother to her, and now she was passing it on to Ruby to pass on to her children . It still pained her how now she had no one to pass off the family airlumbe to ...what a disappointment she was.
She then pinched herself for having returned to talking negatively about herself just as 'he's had.
Ever since she left, she has forever been grateful to Concurr and Timothy for shielding her and rescuing her from yet another hospital admition that would have been in the blogs by morning.
She had just had a talk with her lawyer about finalizing the divorce and since they both signed prenuptial agreements nothing had to be shared.
Though for the abuse Joshua chose to go public too as a means of apology, Ruby didn't want his money just justice. Joshua was trailed by a judge and pleaded guilty after he had turned himself in.
He was given 5 years no bail.
She decided to opt for adoption and her parents were for it .
It was strange seeing people who barely talked to each other, be in the same room all the time. At age 60 ,her parents retired and were so in love...way more than they were when she was a kid.
It gave her this small glimmer of hope that she would find someone, one day .

ONE CHRISTMAS MORNING AT THE ANDREWS HOUSE.
Chantel Andrews...Ruby loved how perfect that sounded . Everyone in the family welcomed Chantel with open arms and she at first was overly sensitive but later on warmed up to them.
Chantel was running around the house with her cousins, while everyone was busy cleaning up the paperwrapp from the gifts they just unwrapped.

And in the few years she still has before going to school...Ruby wanted to travel the entire universe with her daughter.
Ruby felt so much love from this tiny human being that she didn't want to be with anyone else. She decided to take a break from dating, atleast till she heals properly even if takes years.
After Joshua, she doesn't want to be with anyone for a while...even if it's only a one time thing.
