Chapter 16

"Wakey, wakey~", they heard a soft yet oh so mischievous song first thing in the morning.

Laxus grunted with a frown, already annoyed before even opening his eyes and he had to think for a moment where he was and why the hell Bickslow was waking him up. He felt something moving in front of him and suddenly there was a whole bunch of green hair on his face.

"What the hell", he growled his hand moving from around something and he backed up, just to crash down on the floor with cusses.

Freed opened his eyes and he was still feeling sleepy when suddenly that something warm behind him disappeared. He sat up and brushed some green strands out of his face.

"Good morning you two", Bickslow smirked. Oh yes, he had seen everything. Those two were cuddling together in their sleep and it was really cute.

"Good morning, Bickslow", Freed said and he stretched.

Laxus finally got himself up from the floor.

"It's still raining outside, there was a storm during night", Bickslow said looking outside. The rain was heavy and it was pattering the window.

"We noticed", Laxus growled sitting down. "It's not a good day to go out and search something, but guess we don't really have any choice."

"Yeah, we just have to suck it up. So, care to tell me what happened here?" Bickslow smirked when sitting next to Freed.

"We were sleeping", the rune mage said and he got up.

"Just sleeping...?"

"Sharing a bed made sense", Freed explained and he took his shirt from the small table, not yet pulling it over his black sleeveless undershirt. "Neither of us would have slept well on that little couch."

"I guess", Bickslow huffed crossing his arms.

"Don't start thinking anything stupid", Laxus growled with a low voice to the seith mage and he picked up his red shirt from the floor.

The door was knocked and Evergreen came in just when Freed and Laxus took their coats from the wall.

"The bathroom in the hallway is empty now", the brunette said.

"Then I think I'll take this opportunity and clean myself", Freed nodded, taking his cravat too. "I won't take too long", he said to Laxus.

"You should go and take care of ordering us some breakfast", Bickslow smirked to Evergreen. "We'll catch up with you guys", Bickslow promised and Laxus looked at him with a frown.

"Let's go then", Evergreen smiled happily and took Freed's arm, pulling him out of the room.

The door was shut and immediately Bickslow spun around to look at the Thunder God.

"So what happened?" he asked excitedly. "Did you guys do it?"

"What? No!" Laxus snarled with a small blush. "We just slept, like we told you."

"Really? Sometimes things can get romantic when there's a big storm roaring outside and all..."

"We just slept", Laxus repeated annoyed and ruffled his hair. "Though we did talk a bit too..."

"Ohh? Do tell me more, baby."

"I told him about my magic and... About what happened at Kardia Cathedral."

Bickslow was honestly surprised now, looking at Laxus who stared at the floor.

"So he knows?" he asked and Laxus nodded. "I see... I bet it was terrifying to let him know everything."
