It's only been 4 days since Jennie last saw Jisoo yet she misses the girl quite terribly. She has decided to bring Jisoo dinner since it's month-end and the the girl plans to stay up late at work again. As soon as Jennie got into Jisoo's floor, she immediately saw the girl in her cubicle. Jisoo's cubicle was facing the opposite direction of the entrance so Jennie couldn't really see the girl's face. Since it was already pretty late, only a couple of other people are in Jisoo's floor. Jennie was walking on the way to the girl when she noticed Jisoo sniffing around her cubicle like a cute puppy which made her to stop walking and watch the other girl
"I smell chicken!" Jennie heard Jisoo exclaim
"Yah! Did any of you order take out without telling me?" Jisoo asked as she stood up and ask the few people who are left in her office and they just shrugged
Jisoo pouts as she sits back on her chair. She's certain that she could smell chicken and that makes her even more hungry than she already is.
"She's so cute" Jennie chuckles to herself at Jisoo's reaction. Since she doesn't want to prolong the girl's agony anymore, she decided to continue walking towards Jisoo's direction.
"You have bionic nose" Jennie grins as she places the chicken on Jisoo's desk
Jisoo's eyes brightened at the sight of chicken, and of course Jennie, as she engulfs Jennie in a big hug
"God, I missed her so much" Jennie said to herself, she felt a little sad when Jisoo pulled back from their hug. She wanted to stay like that a little bit longer.
"I knew my senses are always right!" Jisoo beamed "Is this for me?" she asked
"No, actually, it's for your co-workers. I figured they must be super hungry and tired" Jennie joked Jisoo pouts and crosses her arms
"Of course it's for you, who else would I give this to?" Jennie said as she took the sit from the empty cubicle next to Jisoo. "Now eat up before you starve to death" she continued
"Thanks Jen, you didn't have to" Jisoo gave Jennie a soft smile as she opens the box to eat. "How about you? Have you eaten?" she continued as she starts eating her food rather happily
"Yeah I have" Jennie nodded "Until what time are you planning to stay here?"
Jisoo shrugged and looked at her computer screen "Until I finish work I suppose"
"Jisoo, you will never run out of work. No matter how much you finish today, you'll still have tons tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that. Don't overwork yourself, please"
"But... If I don't finish this today, this will just pile up the next day. And future me is going to suffer"
Jennie brought her hand to massage her forehead as she heaves out a huge sigh
"Jen, you don't have to worry about me" Jisoo says as she takes Jennie's hand away from her forehead.
Jennie looked at their hands as she rubs her thumb across the back of Jisoo's hand
"I just... I just miss hanging out with you" Jennie bit her lip still looking at their hands trying to avoid Jisoo's gaze.
"I miss hanging out with you too" Jisoo brought her other hand to Jennie's chin and move it to face her.
Jennie swore her heart stopped a beat when they locked gazes and Jisoo gave her the sweetest smile. The sweetest and warmest smile from those perfect heart-shaped lips that she adores the most.
