Apocalypse

She heard it clearly. The long, loud ear splitting sound. It sounded familiar yet she had no idea why. Like a siren going off. A warning.

She looked around her, searching for the mysterious siren. Her head spun and her heart pounded in her chest as she finally located it's origin. She turned around only to come face to face with a mass of darkness. She let out a thrill scream as it folded itself around her, taking over her body.

Cora woke with a start. Its just a nightmare, she told herself as she sat up on the small bed in her cell. Who wouldn't have them in this place.

Even though Apocalypse had hot lava springs (idk, those things that shoot up into the air) it still sent chills down its inhabitants' spines. It just gave off that kind of vibe. Like a haunted house or a graveyard.

One more day in this hell hole and I might just lose it! Cora thought to herself. She'd lost count on how long she had been there. A couple days maybe.

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty!" Lashina's annoyingly familiar voice called out. Cora rolled her eyes and got out of bed. "Breakfast is served!"

She placed a tray of food through the food slot. The food looked disgusting, it looked like someone ate it and threw it back up. Cora looked closely and could even see something wriggling inside it.

"Yay," she said sarcastically, " brown gunk and worms. Delish."

"You like it don't you?" Lashina asked. She actually sounded nervous. Weird.

"Oh yes! I just love it. Especially the way it comes back up so I can enjoy it a second time."

"Just shut up and eat it!" Lashina yelled as she stomped off, her face bright red.

"What is up with that girl lately? Is she PMSing?" Cora asked out loud. No one answered. Obviously.

Meanwhile on Earth...

"Did you find her?"

"No."

"..."

"..."

"How 'bout now?"

"My answer hasn't changed in the last 30 seconds, Kara," Alex said as she continued to watch the monitor that was scanning space for a kryptonian heat signature.

It had been days since billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne had arrived to help. He had a special device that searched specifically for kryptonians. He had modified an old kryptonite detector to detect kryptonians too.

"Anything for a friend," he had said, patting Clark on the back.

Oliver and Barry were still in shock.  Batman was actually real. And he was also trained by Ra's Al Ghul, just like Oliver. Not to mention the fact that he had a child with Talia Al Ghul.

It was a lot to take in.

Naturally Bruce and Oliver got along pretty well, having a lot in common.

Kara was still sceptical about Bruce. Clark had once told her that he had a large collection of kryptonite. Kryptonite was a sensitive topic for her. The pain it brought was unbearable, like every inch of her body was being stabbed with knives. So Kara was pretty pissed at him, especially with the pregnancy hormones.

Alex sighed as she turned to her little sister. "Look Kara, I know you're worried. I'm worried too. But we have to trust that she's OK. We have to have hope."

"I know its just... I just got her back," she said, fresh tears running down her cheeks.

"I know, come here," Alex said as she hugged her sister, shedding a few tears of her own.

"Yeah, I hear you. Thanks. I'll text you the address in a moment. Bye," Bruce said as he walked into the room, finally noticing the two crying sisters. "Sorry did I interrupt something?"

"Not at all. Who was that?" Kara asked, wiping away her tears.

"A friend, Diana, her little sister and half of her people were abducted."

"Her people?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, she's from an island in the Amazons. There are no men, just women."

"Sounds like paradise," Alex said with a sigh. Kara chuckled as Bruce let out a rare laugh.

"Yeah, it does. Anyway, Diana said a woman matching Faora's description used some king of magic on them. Strong magic."

"Ugh! I hate magic! Why is it always magic?" Kara whined.

"Diana also said that the gods are angry. Especially Zeus."

"Zeus? Gods? What the hell goes on on that island?" Alex asked.

"Weird mythology shit."

"My life was so normal before I met you Kara," Alex said with a sigh.

"Lord Darkseid awaits you," Cassie said as she stopped in front of Cora's cell. "I am to escort you to him."

"Lead the way, Blondie," Cora said. She had figured that if they want her here, she would stay, but she would make their lives hell.

Cassie didn't react. She didn't even blink. She merely stood there, her eyes a light purple. Cora climbed out of her cell and they were off. They went down many passages and hallways until finally she stood before the Man himself.

"What do you want, Baldie?" she asked bravely.

"Right," Darkseid said with a small chuckle. "I heard you had the tendency to throw insults." Cora rolled her eyes before glaring at the large man sitting in his throne like chair.

"I also have the tendency to flip people off," she said as gave him the finger.

"You'll regret that."

"Yeah, I don't think I will. Now I know you didn't call me in here for a chat. So I'm gonna ask again. What do you want?"

"You."

"No shit Sherlock," she said with an eye roll.

"Quiet!"

"Quiet!"

"Stop that!"

"Stop that!"

"This is childish!"

"This is childish!"

Darkseid jumped up from his chair in anger, moving towards Cora with a sudden urge to strangle her.

"Shut up!" He yelled as his hand wrapped around her neck.

"Now, Darkseid, you wouldn't want to hurt your prize student would you?" a sickeningly sweet voice asked. Cora looked around Darkseid to see Granny Goodness and The Female Furies.

There they all stood: Lashina, Mad Harriet, Big Barda, Stompa, Bernadeth, Gilotina, Speed Queen, Bloody Mary and Artemiz.

"Bloody hell!" Cora gasped as her and Bloody Mary's eyes met. She could feel her energy leaving her. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she collapsed.

I realised while I was writing this that I should probably read my own books cause I forgot the plotline for a moment.
