"i fucking hate this. why on earth is conjugating french verbs so complicated?" luna let out a long groan of frustration. "i'm so sorry, i must be so annoying to listen to right now."

"oh no, don't worry about it. me complaining about variables and slopes would probably tick you off more." ranboo chuckled drily. 

"honestly though. tests are just not it. oh, hi estelle. one sec, ranboo." she muted herself on discord and turned to her sister who had poked her head through the door. "whassup?"

"help me with homework please?" estelle said. "mom's working. i'll buy you lunch tomorrow."

"you don't need to buy me lunch unless it's more than ten pages. i will, however, settle for a soda." she left the room with estelle. 

after luna finished helping estelle with her homework, she moved back to her computer and put on her headphones. "heyo i'm back, i just had to help my little sister with her homework. essays are the worst. estelle- my sister - would agree."

"i'd agree also. they're pretty un-pog, if i do say so myself." luna heard the sound of a few keys clicking, and heard ranboo say, "and done. i have officially submitted 90-ish percent of my homework."

"congratulations. here is a medal." she proceeded to dm him a medal.

"thanks, it's very much appreciated."

after a few beats of silence, luna decided to break the silence and say, "so i was wondering. what kind of music do you listen to?"

"ooh okay. i listen to lemon demon... tally hall.." he trailed off. "uh, my spotify is ranboolistens. i've got a few playlists there. you can look at them if you'd like."

after a few minutes of looking through his playlists, luna exclaimed, "we have, like, 80% of the same music taste. lemon demon and mother mother? absolutely immaculate."

for some strange reason, that made ranboo very happy. "yeah, definitely. do you listen to lemon demon?"

"i love their music. what's your favorite song? mine would be the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny, or jaws." 

ranboo smiled. "those are good songs. my favorite is touch tone telephone and cabinet man. we should make a playlist together. it's gonna be the best of all time."

"ranboo, you are so smart."

they worked on the playlist for nearly an hour, adding various songs. ranboo added a lot of tally hall and some lemon demon, while luna added wilbur soot and ricky montgomery.

by the time they were done, it was fairly late, and they both had tests early in the morning. reluctantly, they both left the call with hesitant goodbyes, and promises to see the other tomorrow.
